Wine and Dine 2015

Heh, sounds like it's like having the devil on your shoulder, whispering in your ear. ;) I'm somewhere in the middle most days. One caveat: All my will power may go out the window if there's a Dooney and Bourke purse available at the expo.

A Dooney may have found it's way home with me after Princess! ;) That was my big splurge that weekend. (Which of course my husband encouraged!)

Judging by that response I would say as long as your race in question was chip timed and a known race (IE anything with a name besides JimBob's 10k) I think you would be ok especially if it was put on by a race management company wich usually most that are chip timed are, if RD wants to dispute it then give them they name of the race company
Yes that's the way I read it too. So I should be good to go with either of the 10Ks I was considering.

I got the F&W Wristlet last year and the Star Wars Tote this year. I think I'm in Dooney jail from buying anymore so hopefully there isn't one for this race.

I emailed RD trackshack about proof of time and asked if chip-timed was enough. I also gave them a link to last years results for the race I am thinking of. I got this not entirely helpful response:

Thank you for contacting us. In identifying a race that meets the proof of time requirement, there are two criteria you want to consider in addition to being the required distance within the timeframe.
1. A certified race. If it is not certified, then it needs to be one step short of that, which is a measured course. The course has been measured with specific measurement devices to confirm the course distance. For example, you want to ensure that you are running a 6.2 mile race not a 5.8 or 6.5.

2. We do not accept self-timed, training or virtual runs. The race needs to be timed by race management and that typically means with a chip or tag device. The race management will report to you your finish time and display results on a website where it can be verified.

In July of 2014, my race buddy and I ran the inaugural Cherry Festival Half Marathon. The race field was only 500 participants, but was managed by a running store with credibility in conjunction with a 5K, 10K & 15K; all whose distances had been held before for the 'festival of races'. We knew that the course was measured and documented, but never got confirmation that the course was officially certified. It did state in the registration that the race was chip timed and results would be available online. I was looking to use the distance as proof of time for W&D, Avengers, Dopey & Star Wars; so I need the half distance. It all worked out as the race was chip timed and the results were available online...even though I did an extra 3/4 mile due to poor signage just outside of town.

The 2:20 finish for that race netted me corral F for W&D, corral D for Avengers, corral D/J for Dopey and corral B for Star Wars.

This is where I don't understand rundisney corral placement. DH and I submitted a 2:14 half and were placed in E/M for Dopey. I wonder if our time wasn't verified, but it was a time from a previous Disney half.

I wondered about that. Do they do one for W&D weekend? I saw they have one for the festival already. Maybe they will if they really are going with a larger race this year.
I did Wine & Dine in 2013 and 2014...no race Dooney. And trust me, I would have known! ;)

I don't think I've ever submitted a link to the website that shows my proof of time. I just gave them the info requested for proof. And all of my corrals have been correct for placement. Does anyone have the corral placement from last year?

Does the After Party sell out on Day 1 usually? If not, how far in advance do you have to get tickets for it?

Nope! You should be able to book your room now.
I just called and booked the Beach Club, and they included the Finish Line Party. For 5 nights and a 4 day hopper I saved about a grand. Now I just got to get into the race.

I just got my yearly bonus information from work this week and this trip is a go!! :yay: I am running the DL half, so this is my best chance at coast to coast. I have to work on Tuesday and I'm really afraid the race will sell out before I can get in. Soooooo I decided to buy my bib through Get Sports. I called for prices and the lady said she only had about 10 spots left. Those won't be around on Tuesday, so I jumped on it. No pressure on Tuesday. I'M IN!!:D

My fiance and I are beginning runners who've started training so we can run the W&D Half together. I have a team meeting with my District Manager on Tuesday at 11 a.m. :sad2: so I'm putting my fiance in charge of registering us. Fingers crossed that everything goes okay and he's able to get us both registered!

Already registered for the 1/2 gotta love AP early registration :) and it was a total of $202.84 in case it wasn't mentiond before. Good luck at registration and hopefully I'll see some of ya there!

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the get sports package?

3 nights at CBR and race registration $692. They only have rooms at CBR and POP. I compared the rate to RunDisney discount and Get Sports was $20 more. It was worth it to me to secure my registration. :thumbsup2 You can also purchase discount park tickets separately. Not sure how they compare to RunDisney's price.
