Wine and Dine 2015

I think it was $185 last year.

I pulled up my receipt and with the race registration + race pin + taxes/fees my total was $214.55.

Was the race pin something extra that you purchased? When I register I need to get my husband an After Party ticket and I'm trying to figure, with taxes/fees, how much it will be. Anybody know how quickly the after party tickets sell out?

Wait, so is all of Epcot open for the after party, including rides like Test Track and Soarin'? Or just World Showcase?

And yay, so glad to see a specific mention of the Osborne Lights!

The only things that I remember being closed are table service restaurants, Universe of Energy, Innoventions, the movie in the Land & Turtle Talk with Crush. I cannot recall if the Seas with Nemo and Friends or Living With the Land Boat Ride were open. But yes, the headliner rides were most certainly open and running. The later into the party, the shorter the lines--at least for runners. Party goers get minimal waits first thing, as there are no runners there yet.

Is anyone else having trouble with the travel section of the runDisney site? You used to be able to view what hotels where available for each event and now the page won't show anything. I've tried it in different browsers, but can't get it to work.

I'm trying to budget our trip. Does anyone know what runDisney's discounts on tickets and hotels looks like?

I was checking that yesterday and had the same issue and thought maybe they were updating info too. Still no hotel info though, just generic info about the parks. :(

Yes the race pin is an extra add on. It will give you the option to purchase as you are registering and combine the total with your race registration or you can go back at a later date and order it or you can chance it and wait until the expo (they usually have plenty, but it's not guaranteed).

In most years, the after party hasn't sold out until a couple months to a couple weeks prior to the event. If you are prioritizing, get yourself registered for the race first, then go back (even a week or two later) and get his party ticket. They may even have an option to add on a party ticket like they do for the race pin.

Thanks! Getting myself registered is definitely my top priority! Good to know I have time to get his after party ticket!

I'm registering for the half and me and my youngest DD will be doing the 5K together. I'm so excited! This will be my first race. :cloud9: Also thinking about registering for the Princess Glass slipper Challenge next year. I have some time to figure out if we can afford it.

We are thinking of staying at POR. How soon does everyone plan on making their reservations? I don't know if rooms sell out quickly once everyone is registered.

Hope everything goes smoothly for everyone on Tuesday. :goodvibes

Looking forward to registering next week too! Got my qualifying results ready and the countdown on my phone!

Another tip for people is that the faster you finish- the less crowded EPCOT is for the after party! Obviously don't hurt yourself- but if you have a qualifying time that can get you in a faster coral- use it! I ran roughly the same speed as one of my friends last time but I was in Coral B because I had submitted a qualifying time and she did not use a qualifying time- I got a good 90 minutes more of party time than she did with much lower crowds!

I'm so glad this winter is finally starting to show signs that an end is in sight!! I started back into my running schedule. First 5k race is this weekend. Only 8 weeks until the Mountain Goat 10 miler so I better get training if I want to use that as my time for the W&D.

Ha! I just said to type in your credit card info into an email draft or a note file so you can copy & paste without having to waste time typing and checking the number. Easy peasy!

Thank you! I had totally missed it!

Would that link work for registering for the 5K as well or just the 1/2 marathon?

That should be the launch page for all weekend activities. So, you should be able to proceed from there to register for the Half, 5K, Kids Races, After Party Tickets, More Magic Plus Commemorative Items (pins, necklaces, jackets if offered, etc.)

I was looking and it does not seem they are offering the pre order jackets for this one. I didn't get one for PHM since I couldn't see what it looked like! But I actually liked it a lot more than the onsite jacket. Actually, does anyone have the photo of merchandise from 2014? Like the one the Disney parks blog or twitter posts a couple of weeks before? Just curious :)

I emailed RD trackshack about proof of time and asked if chip-timed was enough. I also gave them a link to last years results for the race I am thinking of. I got this not entirely helpful response:

Thank you for contacting us. In identifying a race that meets the proof of time requirement, there are two criteria you want to consider in addition to being the required distance within the timeframe.
1. A certified race. If it is not certified, then it needs to be one step short of that, which is a measured course. The course has been measured with specific measurement devices to confirm the course distance. For example, you want to ensure that you are running a 6.2 mile race not a 5.8 or 6.5.

2. We do not accept self-timed, training or virtual runs. The race needs to be timed by race management and that typically means with a chip or tag device. The race management will report to you your finish time and display results on a website where it can be verified.

Judging by that response I would say as long as your race in question was chip timed and a known race (IE anything with a name besides JimBob's 10k) I think you would be ok especially if it was put on by a race management company wich usually most that are chip timed are, if RD wants to dispute it then give them they name of the race company

Shut up and take my money!!!!

Lol! I'm feeling the opposite. I'm not a big fan of the 2014 or 2013 designs. The shirts and jacket I got from Tink 2014 were much more my personal taste. I'm sure I'll find something to buy, but this may be a trip to the expo that doesn't blow my budget. *fingers crossed*

I was not a fan of the 2013 stuff, but I did like the 2014. (I posted before seeing the 2013 originally.) I loved a lot of the Princess stuff, but still didn't go too crazy so I think we'll be good. My biggest problem will be having my husband there because he is the guy who will buy whatever like there's a money tree in our backyard! I'm more of a "I have this much to spend, what can I do with it" person.

Heh, sounds like it's like having the devil on your shoulder, whispering in your ear. ;) I'm somewhere in the middle most days. One caveat: All my will power may go out the window if there's a Dooney and Bourke purse available at the expo.

I wondered about that. Do they do one for W&D weekend? I saw they have one for the festival already. Maybe they will if they really are going with a larger race this year.
