I am wondering if the text alert is there but really active yet. You used to be able to enter a lot of phone numbers at the same time. This is not letting me do that now. Think I will wait a day or two.

And I am all for a H corral meet up.

I was able to put up multiple phone numbers,you just have to click on phone over and over.

Got our magic bands today. Sadly no luggage tags. I wanted the cute new ones and thought we would get them since we booked a package Did anyone else book through runDisney and ger the cute new luggage tags? We got everything else including all our ME stuff just not those.

No luggage tags for me either and I didn't book through runDisney so it's an overall issue looks like

Bib numbers are found on the waiver. I am 1989, DH is way back in the 5000 range.

I got confused by the OK but I don't you have to do anything with it,on top of the name it says "the following are setup to receive messages", so I'm assuming it's all good,just put the number and its set.

Just got our Magic Bands yesterday too! If you book a package through Disney, you get the luggage tags now. I'm not sure if you get them if you book through runDisney or not (it's technically a different 'travel company' you are booking with). In the box, look under the bands, as in pick up the whole cardboard insert that they're in. I found them underneath that insert in a small envelope~ the attaching hanging tabby thingies are clear and are separate and easy to miss. I would have never even known that they are sending the new luggage tags now if I didn't read about them on the Dis. I bet a lot of people won't know about them and may miss them/throw them away. They are adorable! I made my DH get a yellow Magic Band just to get the yellow Mickey one. He just smiles and goes with the flow even though that's not the color he wanted.

So, with the 5K, does it work the same as the half in terms of lower your bib number the earlier your corral? I know that with the one in Jan that theory didn't work...(but I got a three digit bib number for Jingle Jungle).

Correct: the lower the bib number, the earlier the corral.

rD doesn't release a corral breakdown for the 5K - you find out when you get your bib. But they run similarly to the halfs, with smaller amounts in earliest corrals, larger amounts in late corrals. So A may have 500-800 in it, B might have 1000-1500, while an E might have 2500+ runners in it. Know, though, that I've never, ever seen them sweep a 5K at WDW for any reason other than medical. So the only real difference between first and last corral is how long you wait to start.

I had emailed runDisney just to make sure that there would be buses for my parents to get back to Epcot if they went to WWoS to see the start of the race because people had mentioned that in here. A lady called me back (?! I would have been ok with an email ) and said that there wouldn't be any buses running between WWoS and Epcot after the race starts, so if anyone else was thinking of having family members do that, I guess you'll probably want to change your plans.

That is really odd. They won't let anyone park at WWoS and there will be spectators at the start, so I wonder how they plan on moving the folks out of WWoS. There may be a delay until after all the corrals have left the start area...

Yeah, I don't know. To be honest, I've really only been pursuing it because my mom really wanted to see the start. I was like, mom, there are like 15,000 people, you are not going to be able to see me start. You should just stay at Epcot and enjoy the park until they kick you out after Illuminations (they aren't getting party tickets). That is definitely one advantage that DLR has over WDW it seems, non-runners being able to go hang out with their people and view the start. I did like that my SO was able to walk with me to my corral and keep my company at the fence for a while, then he went up to DD and watched the festivities from up nearer to the front... all the festivities I couldn't see way back in the last corral.

Boo I know it is just silly luggage tags but would it be worth a call? I searched every where in the box and when I pull up the tab there is nothing. We got the regular package book with the discounts and stuff like everyone else and it is written as a MYW reservation so I thought we would get the tags too.

I think this is something that definitely warrants a call, at least to get it on their radar.

Sounds like you have a direct line to Clueless. Maybe it's the "company line" to discourage spectators at the start. The map includes spectator areas at the start. In the program they do say spectator viewing is very limited at the start. If there isn't a plan, there will be one on the fly.

Wow, how did I miss that! I had emailed them because of the notice in the program that the bus service would be suspended between 9-10pm. I wanted to make sure that the buses would start again after 10pm. I just don't want them to get stranded there!
