I am in the process of trying to narrow down our vacation rental for December. I have gotten great offers at Both Palms & Hills, and just can not decide which one to go with!!
We are traveling in december... We have 2 small dd's, who will be almost 2 & 4 when we travel. Both of the pools look nice, but I was thinking that the zero entry pool would be nice for the little one, so we don't have to hold her all the time...
The playground at Hills looks awesome!!

Has anyone stayed at both, or made a decision between the two?

I'm really trying to decide if it is worth the extra $100+ for the same size / type of unit, at Windsor Hills, vs Windsor Palms...

We found one property at Windsor Palms for $700 with a nice hot tub on the lanai... great for mom & dad at night, after the girls have gone to bed.... But we can stay at Windsor Hills for less than $600 w/a mickey themed room, and awesome ammenities for the girls to enjoy! Ahhhh... which is more important???

I have even made a spread sheet, with 40+ properties listed, with location, miles to disney, # of room / bathrooms, hot tub, pool, parking type, building, price, deposit, disney themed room, etc... and just can not make a decision.

Thanks for any opinions / help!!

You should post the spreadsheet. I'm in overload researching this.

Hi!
I stayed at Windsor Palms and also visited friends staying at Windsor Hills. Both are very nice!!!!! I swam at the pool at WP and its quite nice too but as you said, it doesn't have zero entry. Also, WP is a few miles farther and that is on a busy highway with traffic lights so it definately takes a bit longer to get there. I have not been in the pool at WH but I understand it's actually shallow (except by the slide). I think its 3 feet deep. But very big and has the zero entry.
I really don't think you can go wrong with either one. I personally am planning a trip in 2009 and staying at WH. Its closer and has a really cool house I am hoping to rent for the week!!! I love the themed rooms!!! :cool1:

Windsor Hills is made by the same company and a few years newer, so I picked that, also I was able to get a lower rate by asking and saying that I'd like the condo but I have got lower offers somewhere comparable.

We stayed at WP in May, and were very happy. We were close to the tennis courts and playground, right by the pool. (In a condo). We were very happy there...the traffic was fine, and it was close to everything. I know that, technically, WH is closer, but it's really not that big of a difference. Thay're all in the same general area.

If it were me, I would save the 100 bucks for something else! There's always somewhere to spend the money when you're at Disney!!!

Just realized that the WH thing is cheaper. I would do that, then! We stayed at Terra Verde one year, and had the hot tub. We used it one night. By the time we got home from the parks and put the kids to bed (and actually had them asleep), and finished getting everything cleaned up and ready for another day, it was time for us to go to bed!

And the condo we had at WP this year had a Mickey themed room and bathroom, and the kids loved it! It was such a nice surprise for them. They couldn't stop talking about it all week!

We stayed at Winsdor Hills with our 2 kids, and you are right, the playground was awesome! One of the best parts of our trip. It had all the old fashioned, "dangerous" equipment that I grew up playing on: merry-go-round, see-saws, swings, the little animals on springs, and the castle was also one of the best play units we have played on. I also have 2 very small kids, so they needed a place to burn off some energy, so we spent a lot of time at the playground. We stayed in "Mickey's Condo", wonder if thats the one your looking at. It was great.

We stayed at WH last summer and really liked it. The drive to the parks wasn't bad at all. The pool is a little shallow but it was fine for us. The zero entry pool was very nice for my 2yr old dd and the older boys loved the slide.
