We're looking for a 3 br townhome for our trip in Feb/ March 2014. We stayed at a condo in Windsor Hills on our last trip and loved it. I'm a little overwhelmed looking at all of the rental properties on vrbo & windsor hills rent. Also a little puzzled why a lot of the townhomes only have a tiny dining room table for 4 if they sleep 6-8. We are planning to eat out some nights, but also planning to cook a few nights and would like to be able to sit together at the table. We're a family of 5 - dh, myself and 3 boys - 14, 12 and 8. Any recommendations?

We are renting a townhome in November through Behlor Realty. They have two units next door to each other. One of the units appears to have a table with six chairs. That unit was already booked for our trip so we rented the other. I found it on Homeway.com #127608. I read all reviews and really could not find one bad one. So far our dealings with Michelle at Behlor Realty have been great.

Also wanted to mention that the weekly price includes taxes and cleaning fee. We paid for pool heat which was $15 a night. And there was also a $25 booking fee.

We stayed at a 3 bedroom townhome with 5mins2disney. We were very happy with it, and with the service, but I don't recall how big the table was. I'm sure it's on their site though.

The townhomes living and dining areas are shared so it is not super large. We stayed at one this summer that had a 4 person table. It was acceptable - not a place I would go out of my way to recommend.

Next March, I am staying here. www.orlandohouse4rent.com Can't recommend it yet, but it looks like the dining area has a 6 person table. From the pictures they gained some space by putting the tv on the wall rather than in a big entertainment center.

We stayed at Homeaway #426326vb over Easter. Jill and Andy were great and very quick at answering any questions.

It was fabulous! Plenty of room and very quiet. The table could seat 6 I think. In any of the townhomes the splash pool will be small for teens. This Easter we're renting a 4BR home with a game room and pool w/spa for a great rate. It's called Disney's Enchanted Getaway. It's close to the same price as some WH THs but the trade off is it's in Emerald Island. Worth the extra mile for us at that time of year.

thank you for all of the helpful info. I truly appreciate everyone that took the time to respond. the pools looked really small, we were planning to mostly use the clubhouse one. now I'm wondering if we should save the $ and go with a condo instead or spend more for a 4 br? a quick search, it doesn't look like there are nearly as many 4 br homes

We stayed at www.wishingplacevilla.com and it was great.Close to the clubhouse, small splash pool. The owner, Beth, was easy to work with and answered emails quickly.

If you go to that site and click around, they have, I think, at least 2 more properties to rent that might work for you.

It's difficult to choose because there are so many properties.

Well, I guess that depends on how your family vacations. If you're going to be using the community pool anyway then there's not that much difference with a TH compared to a condo other than 2 floors and maybe an extra bath and some more elbow room. We're lucky enough to travel at least once a year, and our son is on the Autism spectrum, so we don't spend every waking moment in the parks and prefer the space and amenities of the 4 or 5 BR homes. It's great being able to sit outside after a day at the parks and just relax while the kids swim or soak weary feet in the spa without packing up and walking to the community pool. It works for us. For shorter trips or cooler weather a TH works because the pool really doesn't factor in as much.

Good luck choosing!:goodvibes

We stayed at http://www.mickeysworld.net about 3 years ago.

Very nice and Dina was great to work with.

King BR and 2 Twin BR upstairs, Queen BR down. Dining table sat 8, plus they have stools at counter for quick snacks.

They have 2 units and we stayed in #2. It is on Maneshaw, first building across road from main pool (<1 minute), no rear neighbors.

The splash pools are small, but have some depth (4-5'?) to them. Enough to cool off or warm up, relax. As I wrote in above post, both of Dina's THs are close to main pool. The one we stayed in is the closest TH building to the pool. My memory was that the price was less than $10/night more than condos at that time.

That said, even though our party of 6 (me, wife, 2 boys, in-laws) remains the same, we're doing a 4BR pool home this October for slightly more than the TH. Bigger pool, bigger veranda, and since you have boys like we do, a 2 car garage converted to game room (video games, billiards, air hockey and mini basketball game).
