Windsor Hill .. Credit Card vs. Check

My Mom submitted our online request for a 3 br condo in Nov. When reading the information to me on the phone she mentioned the owners prefer personal check to credit card. How did those of you who have stayed at Windsor Hills pay?

Usually if the owner can't take a credit card their management company can. You may have to pay a couple of percent to cover what it cost to process the card. We most always pay by credit card or through paypal. Only once did we send a money order and it wasn't at WH.

I'm pretty sure it said they "prefer" credit card payment through Paypal. Since we don't have a Paypal account I'm wondering if we are just out of luck and can only pay by personal check. Guess that's something she will have to ask when she receives confirmation.

I believe there is a charge involved when using a credit card for the receiver. The TH we rented, owner took $40 off the price if i sent a check instead of credit card. I sent a check. I pm'd others that have stayed there and they had no problems with the owner so I was comfortable with it.

I used a check to book WH and absolutely no issues.

We just returned from our first trip to WH. Loved it! When we booked our townhouse, we made final payment with a personal check and everything worked out just fine!

Awesome ... Thanks everybody for your replies. Now for us to receive confirmation. We submitted our requested late Saturday evening so I really didn't expect to hear anything from the owner or management company until today. Fingers crossed that we got it. That unit was showing up as booked on Sunday so hopefully that means they are reviewing our application and that somebody else didn't snag it from us ...

We used PayPal as well. If you don't have an account, they are pretty hassle-free to set up. We aren't huge PayPal users, we just set up an account to pay for our rental.
