anyone else here on the Teen Board upgrade to Windows Vista or got a new computer with Windows Vista?...i got it the first day it came out at my college for $89.99 and its def. worth it. I love it.

I'm still waiting for Dell to ship my upgrade. It's called an Express Upgrade, yet it still hasn't shipped. Way to be on top of things Dell.

I really, really want it.
Though, the last time we tried upgrading stuff on our pc it completely crashed and wound up buying a new one.
So probably after my trip to Quebec I'll start saving for a cheap lap top from Dell.
We used to have the new versions of Microsoft word and that but it only lasted for about half a year or something like that.

theres a bunch of new things, theres this thing called a sidebar on the desktop that you can put a clock on it, calendar, weatherbug, etc.. Also the start menu is easier to navigate and stuff. It also looks a lot better than XP and previous Windows. It has more games that you can play and stuff. You can go to the windows website and they'll list all the new features.

I really want it... but I keep hearing about bugs with iTunes and stuff, so I'm a little bit weary of getting it.

My laptop is Vista compatable though, so maybe in a few months I'll get it.

weatherbug is desktop weather so you can see what the temp outside is and what the current conditions are. Also, I have iTunes and AIM 6.0 on my Windows Vista and it works fine, I havent had any problems.

Word is strange, and it is frustrating at first.
ESPECIALLY THE DUMB PARAGRAPHS. Everytime I wrote something for french I had to go and fix the spaces between paragraphs.

Microsoft can make windows.
Microsoft can make videogames.

Microsoft can not make media players.
Microsoft can not make virus protection.
Microsoft can not make browsers.

When I upgrade or buy a new computer, I spend hours removing all of the stock crap that Microsoft puts onto it. I then spend another hour downloading all of the real equipment I need. I use a computer that has Military strength file shredders. I'm serious. I don't depend on norton to save me when someone wants in.

I can't get and upgrade because of the graphics card. We have at least the reccomendation but you should have at least twice as good as the reccomendation. (sorry, I can't spell that word.)

I have IE7. It's ok. I miss IE6 though. Easier to deal with...

But from what I've heard and seen, Mozilla Firefox is thousands of miles better than Internet Explorer.
