Windows on Fastpasses

While watching the dvd my dd and I noticed the window on fastpasses at WDW are only 15 minutes. Is it always like this? They are an hour at DL and they don't mind if you come after your time as passed. Is it the same at WDW?

We were told that you can come any time after the end time of the fastpass also...which is good...you just cannot go before the start time...does this make sense or am I talking in circles again???!!! OH, just realized this is a DL question...my answer was for WDW...I am sure its the same...Sorry!

Yes I was aware of not being able to come before. My question was in reference to WDW. I was using DL as a comparison because we have been there and not to WDW.

Shows (Voyage of the little mermaid, etc.) usually have a fastpass return window of about 15 minutes, that is, if you miss the show the fastpass is for, you may be refused non-standby entrance to the next show.

just an aside.....I can really p*issed off when people LINE UP at the fastpass return waiting for their time to come up. I never know what's going on, so I have to acutally talk the them....heeheehee.

Honestly you have to laugh. What an incredible waste of park time unless your fp time is less than 30 minutes away (even then you can wolf down something yummy until then ). It reminds me of the sheep mentality at grocery stores. People will line up 20 deep because it is the first line they see. If they looked a few cashiers down the line it is sometimes 50% shorter but yet they do not move! (That is where I slide in smiling! and they all look at you like they were slapped with a piece of stiff cardboard)

The Fastpass return time will differ, dependent on the number of people who have requested Fastpasses before you. At 9:00am opening, the return time is 10:00am.
