Windows Media Player Question

This afternoon Windows Media Player was working fine and now I can't even get it to open.

Every single link that could take me to it does that annoying little beeping sound telling you something is wrong.

Any idea what it could be?
I can't live without my music and it is all in Windows Media

Ok now the player works but my computer just crashed!!

Not during the 2 weeks before finals NOOO I have a research paper due on monday!!!

When something like that happens, I always reboot. That usually fixes the problem. Other usuful things to do when such things happen are:

1) Scan for viruses. They are really nasty buggers and can really cripple your computer.
2) Scan for spyware. They can also cause unexpected behavior. I like to use "Spybot - Search & Destroy".

Yeah I did all 3 and it didnt work but setting it up again worked...I hope.

You will also want to go and get any updates for windows and media player they are often updated and people never do the updates.
