Wind Chill Warning for Orlando?

I'm leaving on Feb 23 for WD..just checked the weather...45 degrees with a wind chill warning - WOW..I feel for those there now~ hope it warms up for us!

We leave a week from Saturday so I've been watching their weather closely. It's supposed to be in th 60's all next week so we're hoping for 60-70's when we are there. It will be a wonderful change from the 20-30's we've had at home for the last 2 months.

We leave the same day as you and living in Michigan I am getting tired of "wind chill" ! So we are really hoping that we don't have to deal with a wind chill for a week and a half!

we are leaving next friday, the 19th. i am hoping for at least low 70s.

I suppose anything is better than the cold and snow we have been having

It is cold and very windy here today! The forecast for the rest of the week is for coder temps. Tonight, it is supposed to get down to 32 degrees in the Orlando area. I suppose I need to cover my plants again, although I covered them last time we had a cold spell and my tropicals didn't make it.

I know we can't compete with those of you getting snow and really cold temps, but I am also ready for 70s. I moved to the Orlando area so I didn't have to deal with winter!

Well, I don't live in WDW. I live about five minutes from WDW property.

Come on down! There is a lot of room in the area. When the economy started to tank, a lot of people moved away. It's a great place to live!

I never thought that I would say this living in FL but I can't wait for the summer. It has been to cold. I do feel for all the people that are spending so much money to come down here and freeze.

Hopefully every one will get great weather.

This is exactly why we moved our December trip! After hearing how it actually snowed there this year, we decided if we were spending all this money to come down we didn't want to chance the cold. Of course we had to move it to the hottest part of the year but we have lived in Florida before and would rather handle heat than cold! We have gotten so much snow the last couple of weeks I can't wait for August!

Sorry to be a wet blanket but I'm leaving on the 20th and looked at the 15 day forecast on accuweather... shows mid 60's so far for 21st, 22nd and 23rd. I know the 15 forecast isn't always very reliable and am keeping my fingers crossed for a warm up too! But seeing that the wind chill is 11 here today and we just got 9.5 in snow I guess I can manage to drag myself around disney world in a sweatshirt if I must!

Well, I don't live in WDW. I live about five minutes from WDW property.

Come on down! There is a lot of room in the area. When the economy started to tank, a lot of people moved away. It's a great place to live!

Yeah come on down! Celebration is a great place to live and it has a dedicated road (World Drive) straight into the gates.

I know I am in jeans and a sweatshirt today, but no jacket necessary - the sun has been out for hours! Hurrah! Of course, I won't be out after teh sun goes down. Bundle up Disney fans! And it COULD be worse. I could be in two feet of snow with ice and biting winds making it way below freezing. Thank you FL for this milder than other places winter (hey if THIS is the worst FL has to offer, its not bad at all!)

238 long long days for me....and I agree about the driveway. I am SO sick of SNOW! The kids are going to have to go to school till July to make up all these extra snow days!

195 days until we leave, and like you , I hope that's enough time to get dug out - over 28 inches on Saturday and they say another 12-20 inches today! Spring break is officially gone, any more and I'll be teaching until July 4th also! It's so pretty coming down, but so much work once it's here! Just wondering what to do with so much snow!

We leave Friday night to drive down. We are hoping for some warm weather. We had no school today and tomorrow becasue of all the snow. Can't wait to get away!

That's not what I want to hear. DH keeps telling me that it's all a matter of perspective. We've been dealing with 20-30's for months. On the rare days that we get to 40, it feels warm to us. So we're hopeful that cold for FL will still be warm for us.

That said, I've got warm clothes, hats and gloves packed for us too.

We were at Disney in early January with temps in the 20s and 30s. Brrrr.

It almost made me wish that I was at home, then I would look on my iPhone and see that it was in the low teens at home.

I'm pretty excited about being home in Alabama right now.

We are expecting 1"-3" of snow tomorrow night!!!
I hope we actually get snow, and not just flurries!





I'm so excited!! I've not seen a real snow since we got 6 inches, 15 years ago! (and I had the flu that day, and didn't even get to play in it. -- ok, so I went out for 10-15 minutes and enjoyed it -- against my better judgment.)
