Wind Chill Warning for Orlando?

I leave on the 28th.. I'm glad I stumbled upon this thread, because I'll be packing long sleeves and jeans instead of t shirts and shorts! Yikes!

Last March it was really warm! 80s every day. It doesn't look like I'll get so lucky this time!

I was probably the only person wearing a hat and mittens in the parks this week. Did you see me??? :)

I thought at times it was really cold. the wind didn't help any.

I am ALWAYS cold though. I did go into the hot tub each night. We were the only ones in there. People probably thought the hot tub was closed since the pool was being refurbished.

We were right there with you wearing hats and gloves. This morning was pretty chilly, but we dressed in layers with hats and gloves and it was fine. I saw alot of people looking very cold in their shorts. Just come prepared and you will have a great time.

They've issued a winter storm warning for parts of northern Florida. The panhandle area may get measurable snow. What a bizarre winter this has been. Cold temps predicted for the next few days in the Orlando area.

And here comes the all-day rain.

One day I'm glad I'm at work and not the parks.

Hi OP- we leave the 23rd as well! We got slammed here with 2 storms in the last week - had about 6 inches on Saturday then 18 inches on Wednesday - so FL is looking GOOD right now! Let's keep our fingers crossed for at least 60 degrees the week of the 23rd!

I lived in the Northeast all my life and I swear that 60 degrees in Florida is FAR colder than 60 degrees in NJ! Up there, 60 degrees and sunny is shorts weather! Down here, 60 degrees is sweatshirt and jeans...and maybe a jacket!

I am from the Northeast too and just arrived home to the pile up of Snowmagedon 2010 everyone in MD was talking about. I agree that 60 degrees in the NE is different from that in Florida. I paid $18 to buy a hat and gloves from WDW because I was so cold. We were bundled up most of the time, but it did get warm in parts of the day when the wind stopped blowing long enough. Layers are essential. When I say layers, include everything from winter through spring gear if you don't want to be disappointed.

We just got here this afternoon. Was 50 degrees when we landed in Orlando. After walking once around the Boardwalk I went and bought the $10 black ski caps they were selling at the the general store. Boardwalk itself was very empty.

At least Il Mulino at the Swan was nice and warm.

Everyone is walking around with hats, gloves, scarves and winter coats on.

Tomorrow it is supposed to be 35 degrees at 8AM and go up to a whopping 59 degrees.

Dress warm everyone.
