wind blowin',sun shinin',Soarin'on a magical celebration!April/10: Final thoughts!

Looks like a great Safari ride even though Ashton slept through it!! :goodvibes You got some nice pictures!! ONE hour to get back to your resort?! YIKES!! :scared1:

Hey Connie!! I'm soooo glad Ashton loved it!! Uh oh...I'm looking at the pic of Ashton and guessing he's either sleeping or wants to sleep?! Let's see...Yup...I'm guessing I was right. Awwww...that's ok. If it makes up for it, you did get some great pictures! especially of the elephant and giraffe! Great pics of Ashton with baloo and king louie!! Wow...1 hour to get back to the resort?! You folks must've been pooped! sounds like you had a pretty successful day...can't wait for more!

I'm enjoying your updates!!! Isn't it such a bummer when they fall asleep during the really good stuff!!!

Can't wait to hear about your EMH night!!!

So, I am all caught up now! I would be so upset if I had an hour bus ride to get back to my resort. The safari ride looks fun as usual, but I was sad to read that Ashton slept through it. Cooper is so much like Ashton. He likes the rides that you would swear he would be terrified of.

I never sent my congratulations for Dayne's graduation.

Sad that Ashton slept through the ride, but you can just go to Global Wildlife and call it a day :lmao:

WOW!! What a LOONNGG ride! :scared1:

Looks like you had a great Safari, too bad Ashton slept through it! I guess it is better for them to sleep than for them to get too cranky. :thumbsup2 I am so glad Ashton loved Dinosaur too. Great day at AK! :goodvibes

:drinking1 Mmmm...I just love those frozen lemonades. They are so refreshing!

Sorry Ashton fell asleep while on Safari. Looks like he missed a good ride!
The safari ride was a good one! he would have really enjoyed it...next time!
Danny kept looking for the slushie version but after my first frozen lemonade I was hooked! I use to buy those a few summers ago may have to see if I can ind those again:rolleyes1

Wow Connie! Great day at AK!!! Ashton looked so cute on TT wearing Gwendolyn's sunglasses!! He is the cutest!!! My kids loved TT too and kept wanting to go on again and again!! We were going to go on Dinosaur but it was down when we tried to get on!! Grrr...that seems to happen a lot... Looks like you all had a fun day, those days with early ADR's always seem to be long!!! Looking forward to your evening at DHS!!!!!!:cool1:

He would not put his glasses on earlier, well, after that ride he was very ready for his glasses! I'm sorry you missed dinosaur that is one of my favorite rides...well something to look forward to next time!

Thanks! I had changed my setting to fast action and hoped for the best (Danny acts like he does not know how to hold the camera:laughing: ). I think the waiting in the line and heat for the bus was worse than all the walking you do:confused3 BUT we had a relaxing swim that followed so not all bad!;)

I think it was getting to be a long day for my parents; their nap really helped them to regenerate! after Ashton had his power nap he was ready to go! I wish I could do that:rotfl:

I just felt so bad for him; I knew that would be one of his favorite attractions! but, at least he is still young enought to not miss what he didn't know about!:thumbsup2

I'm hopping back on to read Connie! I need to see where I left off before our trip.

Dayne sends his thanks!
welcome back! I am looking forward to hearing how your trip went! There were a few things to come that he was really not too sure about. But, I still think had he been with Danny and I he would have handled it better.

Sad that Ashton slept through the ride, but you can just go to Global Wildlife and call it a day :lmao:

WOW!! What a LOONNGG ride! :scared1:
He loves Global! although we have not been back this year, I did not renew our annual pass. Maybe in the fall!
I think I must have phrased the return to the resort...we waited 40 min at the bus stop outside of AK...an hour ride would not have been as bad as having to just stand for 40 min with a 3 yr old that was ready to do something and a mom who was having a really hard tme standing that long; she is unable to sit on the ground so she just stood leaning against the rail (as the benches were all filled with kids waiting).

Looks like you had a great Safari, too bad Ashton slept through it! I guess it is better for them to sleep than for them to get too cranky. :thumbsup2 I am so glad Ashton loved Dinosaur too. Great day at AK! :goodvibes
I agree a cranky child; along with the cranky adults would not have been fun at all! We did have a great day at AK! but I really missed our 5th day where we could have tried to catch some of the things we missed...just an excuse for another trip:rolleyes1
hoping to really convince Danny into a trip just the three of us in the spring; but I have a feeling if I can convince him it will be NEXT NOV/DEC!:scared1:

Hi there Connie!

All caught up again! Looks like a great morning/afternoon at AK! Too bad Ashton slept through the safari....poor boy was just tuckered out!

Yes, my poor sweet little man was not accustomed to waking up as early as we had gotten out of bed that morning and the morning before & I'm sure the heat did not help (this was our hottest day there). I wish I could have brought that napping baby back home with us :rotfl2: No matter what time I wake him up at home he will not nap unless we take a ride in the car (and sometimes that doesn't even work). If I'm lucky some evening he will go down for the night around 7:30...

OK! I'm going to get Boo's on this but we did not ride Dumbo... I have never ridden Dumbo...the line is always waaaaayyyy too long and in the sun. If I ever make it there at night we will give it a try! I promise. We also skipped the carousel...I thought again I would come back to it...EMH was tonight and we had plans to come back Ashton and I in FL and the older group in AL.

There were a lot of those types of rides we missed to. We didn't do IASW, Dumbo, Snow White or Pooh. In fact, I don't even think we SAW them! I am a fan of Pooh Bear though, so I'm a little sad we missed that one. I'm OK with missing the rest.

LOL on them wanting pics of themselves later. Boys, pshft.

Oh! it was getting so hot and the humidity was climbing as the storms were getting closer...you would never have known that at this point the skies were still beautiful :sunny:

Thanks! I wish the Toy Story characters would have slowed down a bit and noticed the kids (most of the earlier characters stopped to wave to the kids) Ashton jumped to his feet when he had seen Genie and stayed there until it was over...he was so cute when the TS characters passed and than almost jumping when Donald passed! :cloud9:

I think we must have been over at TSI when the parade was going on because I never even heard it. Your photos are GREAT! Ashton looks like he is really enjoying himself!

(just in case anyone noticed--my hair was nasty on this trip...I cannot stand to wear a hat and my hair is soooooo thin that my head gets sunburned pretty quick...so, I had taken to spraying it with sunscreen...well, no sunburn...but nasty hair :confused3
next time I think I'm going to find me a bucket hat like Ashton to wear :rotfl2: and just go with it...no really I found out after the trip that Redken has come out with sunscreen for the scalp...I can't wait to find it and give it a try!)

I feel your pain sister! If you see my pics on my TR I am wearing a pink hat in almost all of them. My hair is growing back but I didn't have all that much and I knew I'd get a sunburn on my scalp. DH has a bald spot and his is pretty thin, so he needed a hat too. I'll have to check out that Redken product, thanks for the info!

Connie, I am so bummed we didn't run into each other- literally. We got to AK that morning at 8:05 and headed right to the safari, then we ate at Tusker House at 9 and then we went right back to the safari at around 10- which seems like it was when you were there because we saw that CM feeding the flamingo's too! Darn!

:sad1:

Connie, I could have sworn I posted comments on your pictures, then I remembered I commented on your FB pictures :confused3:rolleyes1. My brain hasn't been very reliable since we got home :upsidedow.

Your safari pictures are so good :thumbsup2. I love the one of Ashton sleeping in your lap. Before you know it he will be too big to do that. I miss Dallas curling up in my lap and sleeping; it seems like those days were so long ago. The funny thing is; he is taller than me now......:lmao:

Noticed that you just got back - have you posted a TR yet??? :)

I'm sorry we did not run into one another; we were sure walking around one another...I remember at one point when I was walking out of Tusker house I told Danny to look out for your family. Than, when we started with the confusion of where my family was meeting I did not think of anything else for a while...
I recently found some body and scalp sunscreen; so, far I really like it not nearly as greasy; found it at walmart. Ashton loved the parade wish we would have caught it at AK, too! Oh well next time! and you can use that line for all of the Fanatasyland attractions you missed. Hopefully, you will get to return soon!:goodvibes

That's OK Dana...I read other threads stop put down the computer and plan to come back and never make it back until next go round...
getting into the swing of things after Disney can be hard especially with all you have on your plate at the moment...hope Dallas is feeling better and Dale's mom is getting better news with her new round of test.My dad goes in a few months for his blood work to see how radiation went--poor thing was getting so tired on our trip and mom would not share her ECV (not that he asked--he joked around saying he wished she had a seat he could sit on when we were standing around but, not for a ride he didn't trust her:rotfl: )

I know girl he is already getting so long that we are having to readjust our comfortable rocking chair postion;)...I am trying to hang on to my baby as long as I can:cloud9::hug:
Dayne still comes put his head on my lap sometimes...it is so hard (and exciting) watching them grow up...I know you know exactly what I mean:goodvibes

Connie, I don't know how missed an update from you. I love the safari pictures (and giraffes are MY favorite too). I'm sorry Ashton slept through it. And yes, you can come with Ashton so I have a partner for Dinosaur. ;)
