Everyone in the gulf states get pretty jumpy now when we hear about a new depression. Thanks for keeping us updated! I'll keep checking your post for updates!
Latest model runs are interesting. Update will be coming out in couple hours. Incase people wonder, the program we use at Tampa Bay's Ten uses Googles Earth Images for background plotting.
That's the one I saw, too. It shows Wilma coming in near Tampa and exiting over near Jacksonville. Last time that happened, I didn't have power for two weeks.
Look exactly like mine? I posted on some other sites. Latest models are making trough weaker so track was shifted farther west with more north landfall. I am not going as extreme in shift as models yet. I think tonights models I feel will shift east again. Waiting and watching.
That would make it exiting right about where DMIL lives -- New Smyrna Beach. Actually, a whole lot of that track suffered enough damage last year. Let's hope its completely wrong (some how) and never touches land or never develops anymore than it has.
Discussion:
Although models have shifted to a hit more near Cancun and Cozumel and then proceeding north, we still feel Tampa Bay is at risk. Our thinking is it will pass between Mexico and Cuba, and possibly brushing Cancun. Then the trough will influence it more causing it to proceed quickly off to the North and Northeast. Our thinking is from the Big Bend of Florida to Tampa is highest risk. Dont let your guard down and stay tuned.
Go away Wilma Go away. I leave for Disney tomorrow morning. After 9 day of pouring rain and gusty winds that took 1/2 of my magnolia tree. I was looking for some Pixie Dust. Sunshine and Mickey.
I'm on the verge of becoming a moldy duck who needs sunshine to cure this unwanted duck afflection.
