Will you see Farenheit 9/11?

  • Yep, I'll be there as soon as it opens!

  • I want to see it sometime for sure

  • I will see it to "know thine enemy" as it were

  • I wouldn't dream of spending my hard earned money on such tripe!

This movie comes out June 25th. I'm wondering how many
will see it? I'm especially curious about those in support of
President Bush. I'll be there the first day!

I've met Michael Moore and was disgusted by his arrogance, his rudeness to his fans and his general attitude. This was before I even really paid attention to politics when someone took me to one of his lectures maybe 4 or 5 years ago. I knew nothing about him and I learned all I needed to about him by watching the way he treated the people who came and waited for an hour in line to have him sign a book for them.

I also know that recently, he was requiring small, indie bookstores to order a minimum of 1000 books for his signings and that for many of them, he cancelled last minute or did not show up.

He makes me sick. Maybe he makes some good points, I don't really know or care. He strikes me as a hypocrite and a whiner and I would not spend a dime on any of his drivel.

I won't take the time to listen to anyone who wouldn't do likewise for me. I saw him once on a show...perhaps "The View"...and all he did was talk over everyone else. He's an ***. I couldn't care less what he has to say.

Whenever people from the left or right politically put on blinders, they tend to lose opportunities to learn something.

Moore may go off the edge from time to time, but that doesn't make the core of some of his arguments are not accurate. I, for one, am very interested in the alleged ties between Bush and the Bin Laden family.

Although I won't be there the first day, I certainly want to see it sometime soon.

I do not agree or believe everything MM says, however I do think that his movies and book are thought provoking.

I will be seeing it for that reason.

I absolutely agree. Sometimes I learn the most when I listen to things I disagree with.

Since I don't decide what films to watch based on whether or not I like the personality of the producer, I don't see why I should like MM in order to see this.

I won't be seeing it simply because MM has been known to edit his movies, and skew the facts, to suit his agenda. There is no way of knowing if what you are watching is real, or something he wants you to think is real.

Face it people, MM is good at doing this. He could make a movie that shows Mother Teresa to be worse than Hitler if he put his mind to it.

If this were advertised as fantasy, I might be tempted to go see it. But since he claims it is a documentary and he has a history of practicing deceit... I'll save my money for some better "tripe" like maybe seeing Harry Potter again. At least the producer of that film doesn't act like it's non-fiction.

Ditto!

EsmeraldaX, I've never met MM, but when I've seen him interviewed, your example is exactly how he comes across to me. I wouldn't care if he was a big Republican, I still wouldn't see his movie just because of his arrogance.

I'd like to see it sometime for sure, but I'm in no hurry.

I agree. I liked Bowling for Columbine, but I didn't like his speech/rant at the Oscars. People are just so self-righteous and full of themselves. ugh...

I wouldn't watch ANYTHING by MM. I would believe Clinton before I would him.

I agree. Not liking someone for whatever reason is no reason not to listen. I listen to Bush's speeches even though I find him to be the most arrogant, self-righteous, idiot I've ever met. I'll see the film and then make my own educated judgment.

Those of you who are open to the idea of learning something can find out where to see Fahrenheit 9/11 at this site:

Well that's a bit insulting now, isn't it?

Ditto for me! I had the same thought about MM making a movie about Mother Theresa!!!

Yeah, his speeches make me laugh like that too.
