Will You Chill Out if I Sprinkle You With Pixie Dust? The End p136 *New TR Link* p138

Checking in and drinking coffee !!!:rotfl2:

You go girl! :rotfl:

Great pix on the run !!Seriously how can you take pix while you are on a roller coaster:crazy2::scared::rotfl2:The Yeti would not scare me but those drops would :scared::scared:

I strap my camera over my head and I hold onto it for dear life. The first time I tried this I had my distance lens on. That was a bad idea because the force of the ride keep forcing the lens into the lap bar. Now I know only to take the short lens.

What I want to know is how do people take pictures of ToT? Now that would freak me out a little.

Denny won't ride single rider? Now that's just silly. Thank goodness you got there early enough. The CM with the monkey? College program guy, he was at that same kiosk when we were there, I remember him from pin trading.

Hmnn...pics on ToT. Now that could be a fun challenge!

Nice pics, as always!

In no particular order:

Freaking awesome ride photos on Expedition Everest!

Thanks for updating us on the duck family.

Love the lamp with the spider and the webs.

Great pictures from your morning run. I like the one of the lighthouse.

:woohoo: someone else has discovered Tamu Tamu. I call it the restaurant that guests forgot, because nobody seems to know it is there.

Somehow I failed to see that you've done a couple of updates.

Hooray for some pool time. So weird there is no where for you to fill you mug at the Boardwalk.

I love your pictures of the ceiling in China...it is so beautiful in there.

Your meal looks really yummy...and I really like the look of Dennys' dessert.

What a great spot to get pictures of Illuminations.

I won't even ride EE....I don't know how you take pictures on top of riding it. :scared1::scared1::scared1:

As always, your pictures are spectacular.

You rock! getting in a run and conquering EE so early in the day? Color me impressed! We couldn't get the guts to ride EE this trip. I really want to do it, but I need company for my first time, and the girls were not having any of it.

Such a cool themed area too - love the pictures - and the ride pics! Wow! Kind of makes me realize how high up it does go. Part of why I'm reluctant to ride it!

What I want to know is how do people take pictures of ToT? Now that would freak me out a little.

Basically the same way you do - put the strap over my head and hold on to it. :rotfl2:

I think I finally got some good ghost pictures but I would love a great " AT the top looking out" picture. The times I was ready, we started dropping before we made it to the top and the times I wasn't we stayed up there looking out a bit. :sad2:

Another reason to go back. :rotfl2:

I finally used my app to measure- BCV entrance to DHS is 1.25 miles

Good for you getting that run and making it to AK just after Rope drop. That's dedication.

As always - GREAT PICTURES of the area.

That picture might be near Beastly Bazaar???

AHH the duck family! SO CUTE. :cutie:

Love love love the Everest pictures! That is such a fun ride. Oddly enough, that same thing happened to us in August! (Long pause before the ride starts going forward again.) It was so weird! After getting stuck on SE, my sister was a little anxious about it. :rotfl:

NEVER too many pictures!

/
Wow! I'm impressed with all the great shots you have on EE! :thumbsup2

That couldn't have been easy to do, it truly gave me a full appreciation for the theming on this ride. ::yes::

You miss so much when you're flying around on the coaster, you don't really see all of what your camera actually caught.

I don't know why you hate the picture of you, it's not a bad picture. Well, it's a bad picture because of lighting, but not of you. :)

Did you ever find Denny? He doesn't seem to be with you on this part of the trip. :rotfl:

Wow... I too am impressed by the photos you while in motion...

EE-fabulous...:thumbsup2

Are you actually photographing while you're running in the morning?

Love the ducks... :lovestruc

Hmmm... have to check out Tamu Tamu...I don't think I knew it was there...:scratchin

I love your EE ride photos!! DH has taken a couple over the years, but I think we are both a little too scared to have the camera out during that ride, so kudos to you! You got some really great shots out of it.

I can't believe it's your last day of the trip already!!

I am going to try to do replies from work. Let's see how it goes with this lame internet explorer that likes to spontaneously close.

Denny won't ride single rider? Now that's just silly. Thank goodness you got there early enough. The CM with the monkey? College program guy, he was at that same kiosk when we were there, I remember him from pin trading.

No - Denny refuses to do single rider. Its this really odd idiosyncrasy he has. He first refused on Test Track. I figured it was because he didn't love the ride. But he refuses on every ride. So lame.

I thought I recognized that guy. Doh! I saw him in June and October. OK, if I were him I would probably be really bored with that job by now. :rotfl:

Hmnn...pics on ToT. Now that could be a fun challenge!

I know Glenn has done it and his pics turned our really good. I just can't muster up the courage because I am always holding on for dear life by the end of the ride. :rotfl:

Nice pics, as always!

Thanks!

Freaking awesome ride photos on Expedition Everest!

Thanks! Glad you like! I have taken them once before (maybe twice), but this time I was snapping away non-stop. I dumped a lot of crappy pics.

Thanks for updating us on the duck family.

OMG - I was so excited to find out that most of them are alive and thriving because my friend, T, was sure they would all be eaten the moment that hatched. I guess that momma duck knows her stuff. :thumbsup2

Love the lamp with the spider and the webs.

I never noticed that before, but I guess it was right near Bug's life.

Great pictures from your morning run. I like the one of the lighthouse.

Thanks. I like the lighthouse one, too. It's really one of my favorite views and I regret that I have yet to take that picture with my good camera - if for nothing else then atleast I could straighten out the angle. :rotfl:

:woohoo: someone else has discovered Tamu Tamu. I call it the restaurant that guests forgot, because nobody seems to know it is there.

That is definitely going to be my AK "go-to" breakfast sandwich in the future! It was yummy!

Somehow I failed to see that you've done a couple of updates. .

I do that all the time. Sometimes a TR has to be staring me right in the face before I notice its been updated.

Hooray for some pool time. So weird there is no where for you to fill you mug at the Boardwalk..

Isn't it? And I am really a self- service type person. I hate to have people wait on me unneccesarily.

I love your pictures of the ceiling in China...it is so beautiful in there..

That whole area is so pretty. It's like Morocco. You could easily spend an hour inside and out just taking pictures!

Your meal looks really yummy...and I really like the look of Dennys' dessert..

What a great spot to get pictures of Illuminations..
It was such a relaxing and delicious meal. It really was a great experience. I can't remember if I tried Denny's cake or not. I may have been too busy with my own yummy dessert.

I won't even ride EE....I don't know how you take pictures on top of riding it. :scared1::scared1::scared1:.

Denny took pictures on EE a few years ago and made it look so easy that I decided I could do it too!

As always, your pictures are spectacular.

Thanks! :goodvibes

You rock! getting in a run and conquering EE so early in the day? Color me impressed! We couldn't get the guts to ride EE this trip. I really want to do it, but I need company for my first time, and the girls were not having any of it.

Sheree - You are so funny! :rotfl2: that's why I called this update "Go Big or Go Home". I wanted a big morning and I wanted a run and EE. Remember, I gave away from last EE FP to my SIL who barfed in the bushes. :lmao: I needed a do over.

I wish your girls would go on it. It's so fun. Yeah - its a little intense, but its not insane.

Such a cool themed area too - love the pictures - and the ride pics! Wow! Kind of makes me realize how high up it does go. Part of why I'm reluctant to ride it!

Here's the trick to the fear of height thing - just look down at your feet. Don't look out. At least the first time you go. then when you realize its not that scary you start to look out more.

Oh - and the dark backward part - close your eyes and before you know it - its over!

Basically the same way you do - put the strap over my head and hold on to it. :rotfl2:

Thanks! LOL!

Here's the thing. Inside I am still very afraid of ToT. EE, not so much. So my fear (and my need to grip hold of the seat rails) makes it impossible for me to focus on pictures. Ah - maybe someday.

I think I finally got some good ghost pictures but I would love a great " AT the top looking out" picture. The times I was ready, we started dropping before we made it to the top and the times I wasn't we stayed up there looking out a bit. :sad2:

Another reason to go back. :rotfl2:

That's what I want - the ghost pictures and the at the stop picture. Can't wait to see yours.

I finally used my app to measure- BCV entrance to DHS is 1.25 miles

Good for you getting that run and making it to AK just after Rope drop. That's dedication.
That sounds about right. Is that to the entrance of DHS or to the end of the path?

I just really wanted to run around the Boardwalk again and I didn't want to skip another run. I think I had skipped twice already.

As always - GREAT PICTURES of the area.

Thanks!

That picture might be near Beastly Bazaar???

Yeah - probably - but I wonder what that fabric was? It's pretty, just wish I knew what the heck I took a picture of. :confused3

Awwww Mama Duck and her family are adorable!
I can't say enough how I admire your get up and go, running so early on a Disney trip! Beautiful pictures, both from your run and after in AK. I love the on-ride pics from EE! I actually much prefer to sit in the back, I find in the front there's some lag when you're going up a lift hill and then you're halfway back down the hill before your caboose gets over it and you pick up speed. In the back, you're already picking up before you hit the crest of the hill! It's awesome on EE in the back! :)

Glad to see the duck family made it through! I never noticed that spider web light fixture before, very cool!:cool1:

Our first ride this last trip was EE, we had that little pause also, it gave me a little scare! The backwards part made me a little queasy this time. Not a good feeling!

I just love the theming around Asia, heck I love all of AK!

AHH the duck family! SO CUTE. :cutie:

Aren't they just the cutest little things? I am so psyched that they lived! :thumbsup2

Love love love the Everest pictures! That is such a fun ride. Oddly enough, that same thing happened to us in August! (Long pause before the ride starts going forward again.) It was so weird! After getting stuck on SE, my sister was a little anxious about it. :rotfl:

I bet she was. I was started to get just a tad freaked. In October we definitely did not wait that long. Weird. Glad you like the pictures.

NEVER too many pictures!

A motto I intend to live by! ;)

Wow! I'm impressed with all the great shots you have on EE! :thumbsup2

Thanks. I have taken them before so I think I know where all the good shots are. :rotfl:

That couldn't have been easy to do, it truly gave me a full appreciation for the theming on this ride. ::yes::

I just hang on to my camera and snap away. Most of the time I am laughing so hard I can't stop!

You miss so much when you're flying around on the coaster, you don't really see all of what your camera actually caught.

So true!

I don't know why you hate the picture of you, it's not a bad picture. Well, it's a bad picture because of lighting, but not of you. :)

Thanks! For some reason I just don't like it. But sometimes when I come back to a picture a year later then I think "well, that pictures really not that bad." :rotfl:

Did you ever find Denny? He doesn't seem to be with you on this part of the trip. :rotfl:

I don't know why Denny was MIA at that point. Maybe he was walking with me and just didn't want his picture taken. But somehow that doesn't seem right. I think I am missing a piece of what we did that morning. :confused3

:confused3 You lost me. What do you mean?

I just meant that I think a lot of people don't know you can queue up in a separate line for the front row. When you get to the CM at the end of the regular queue you can ask for the front row and they put you in a separate row on the right. That line is rarely, if ever, very long. I don't think people know to ask.

Noooo last day???? 500 photos sounds like a good day to me though!!! :thumbsup2

Yup - it finally arrived - our last full day. So sad. sniff sniff.

Awesome EE shots!!!

Thank you! :)

Wow... I too am impressed by the photos you while in motion...

Thanks! I have the EE photo thing down pretty well right now!

EE-fabulous...:thumbsup2

I bet you can't wait to ride it. When we went last December we actually stayed in AK all day - park open to park close - just so we could ride it in the dark. That was cool!

Are you actually photographing while you're running in the morning?

No. I just take my phone with me and stop every now and then - snap a pic - and go again.

Love the ducks... :lovestruc

Are they the cutest little things??? I was so excited to see that picture!

Hmmm... have to check out Tamu Tamu...I don't think I knew it was there...:scratchin

And there is a really nice little seating area back there that Cynthia and I sat at in October. I never knew that was there. It was pretty cool.

I love your EE ride photos!! DH has taken a couple over the years, but I think we are both a little too scared to have the camera out during that ride, so kudos to you! You got some really great shots out of it.

Just don't put on your distance lens. I sort of cupped my hand over the lens when we were going down hill. It's really easy to take pictures on the lift hill and when the coaster is stopped at the top of the hill.

I can't believe it's your last day of the trip already!!

Yup - its finally here and I sure took the pictures to prove it. :rotfl:

Awwww Mama Duck and her family are adorable!

Aren't they so sweet?

I can't say enough how I admire your get up and go, running so early on a Disney trip!

I actually impressed myself that I was able to get up that early and go and that it wasn't super painful. :rotfl:

Beautiful pictures, both from your run and after in AK. I love the on-ride pics from EE!

Thanks. I love also love the pictures from EE. I love seeing them because it captures highlights from the ride.

I actually much prefer to sit in the back, I find in the front there's some lag when you're going up a lift hill and then you're halfway back down the hill before your caboose gets over it and you pick up speed. In the back, you're already picking up before you hit the crest of the hill! It's awesome on EE in the back! :)

EE is pretty fun from the back. The only part I don't like is that backwards part in the dark. In the back you really feel the G's and that feels a little weird to me, but overall its either front or back for me. Middle is eh.

Glad to see the duck family made it through!

Isn't it great???? I was so happy to get that pic the other day.

I never noticed that spider web light fixture before, very cool!:cool1:

I never noticed it either and I don't really remember seeing it in October. :confused3 Weird.

Our first ride this last trip was EE, we had that little pause also, it gave me a little scare! The backwards part made me a little queasy this time. Not a good feeling!

The backward part can be pretty weird. I'd actually really like to see what the track looks like in the light.

I wonder why the ride is pausing there now? Maybe just to add to the suspense?

I just love the theming around Asia, heck I love all of AK!

Looks like y'all were off to a great start for the last day! :thumbsup2 And all of the pictures are so pretty!

That sounds about right. Is that to the entrance of DHS or to the end of the path?

From the Gate at BCv entrance right by the hill to the bag check pole, yes i actually touched it. :rotfl2:

I went by the BW to DHS and then by the YC on the way back..... same distance. :)
