Hi All. Please don't think I'm crazy. But, I got my hubby to agree to 3 days instead of our orginally planned 3. We are going during off season Sept 3-5. My question is... since the crowds will probably be low, I am worried about not having enough to do. We will be celebrating our anniversary so I was planning on making some ps at Napa Rose or Steakhouse 55.
I just don't want to be wandering around for 3 days having done everything... does this sound dumb?
Any suggestions?

I'm confused :confused3 3 instead of 3?

If you are doing three days, there's NO way you'll be bored. You need to hit everything including shows, parades, and fireworks. Also, what I am planning on doing is checking out hidden things to look for around the park that I've never noticed. There's a Disneyland Secrets thread on here, and its a great idea to see a different perspective of the place.

3 days would be about the minimum for me. I'm sure you'll have enough to do. You dont need to stay at the parks for every opening hour and rush if you feel you have too much time, also the parks wont be open as long as they are now.

I go 5 days and love it and never bored lol Im addicted.

Im addicted to these boards

Sorry.. that should have said 3 instead of 2! :goodvibes

DH and I went last Sept. about the same time for my 40th B-day! It was a blast. We rode everything we wanted to and looked in all the shops. We don't usually look in the pretty shops with our 4 boys. :scared1: Can you imagine a very touchy 3 year old in the crystal shop!!? Picture a bull in a china shop!

We were not bored. We rode whatever we wanted, when we wanted. We went to Blue Bayou and had water side seating. It was great to do one time - I wouldn't do it again. The bleachy, stale water, grossness smell just didn't go well with my food, which was only mediocre. The atmosphere was worth it for the dessert pirate boat thingy, but I wouldn't do it for a meal again.

We walked around leisurely, without feeling any need to rush or worried about having to feed little people. It was very liberating after being a mom for 19 years (last year) to not have to worry about feeding anyone else!

Have you thought about adding anything else to your trip? The beach, a play or a ball game? The parks close early on two of your days, so there is time for you to add some other things to your trip.

I wish I had more than three days this past trip! Besides DL and CA there is also Downtown Disney which you will want to visit. There are also many smaller overlooked attractions that are pretty neat to check out if you feel you've seen the "important" things.:)

Have a great anniversary! We will be going for ours this year too!

I think three is minimum, like one of the previous posters said. We only went for three on our first trip, and missed out on a lot of rides and shows. We went for eight days last year, and still didn't make it to see lots of popular rides and attractions. We go open to close too, w/ very few breaks. So no, I definitely don't think you guys will be bored in the least.

Sounds like us open to close and still not see everything but we have a great time because it is the happiest place on earth haahaa :yay:

You will not be bored. 3 days is just right, in fact it's not enough for some people. There is no way you will be able to see and do everything in 3 days, but that's ok, because it's about quality time, not rushing from one thing to another. You will have time to ride most everything once, as well as take a midday break to rest and/or swim at your hotel. I would get familiar with Hydroguy's tips at the top of this forum, to help you figure out what to see and do, and how to do it efficiently, without waiting in long lines.

Have a great trip! :goodvibes

I would agree, 3 days in the off season would seem like the perfect amount of time. Without kids along, you can visit the shops in DD, have leisurely meals, etc. Stuff we obviously can't do with our little monkeys bouncing everywhere, lol! :dance3:

Sept. 3-5 is right after a holiday weekend. Crowds may not be as low as you think and watch for slashed hours, many late summer vactions extend into that week. heres to a good time....popcorn::
