No problem. They can continue to self isolate.
How does that work when your boss calls you up and tells you to report to work on Monday? You can’t lean on the stay at home order.

The original post was about opening hair salons. Can they? The doctors, the nurses, the grocery store workers? That's not very good risk assessment now, is it?
Anyone that wants to self isolate is free to do so.But what about the risk they'll pose to others if they themselves get sick?
The governor is following the phased opening guidelines. Based on those guidelines if you can telecommute you should telecommute until phase 3.How does that work when your boss calls you up and tells you to report to work on Monday? You can’t lean on the stay at home order.

There is plenty of room in the morgues for say 90% of the country.
At some point all people will have a decision to make if they want to continue to self isolate or not.The governor is following the phased opening guidelines. Based on those guidelines if you can telecommute you should telecommute until phase 3.
If you have a non telecommute job then it will certainly be a tough personal choice between potential exposure and unemployment.

Honest question and not snarky, but do you believe that the situation in some of the hotspots is isolated to those areas or do you expect that eventually this virus will spread and infect a large majority of people, and do you think the number of deaths (adjusted for population) will happen elsewhere eventually? Just trying to understand the different opinions people have.
And, not restricted to the PP I quoted, interested in anyone’s feedback.
Thats your decision so as I understand you will stay isolated longer. I will not nor does any other member of my extended family. I respect your decision fully.Umm yeah like weeks from now. It hasn’t been long enough.
Your choice to not continue to self isolate puts everyone you come in contact with at risk.Thats your decision so as I understand you will stay isolated longer. I will not nor does any other member of my extended family. I respect your decision fully.

It is not based on day to day variations , 14 day trend, plus they are looking at hospitalization more than new casesI just read Georgia’s numbers are going up. 19 more cases today than yesterday. Doesn’t seem to fit the guidelines set by the government of a 14 day downward trajectory.
No most non-essential workers that could not work from home got fired or furloughed because their business closed. This was an issue as we were shutting down. A lot of non-essential employees stopped gong to work. And states are totally overwhelmed with respect to processing unemployment claims. I read that Florida has processed 6% so far. And with tourism as such a huge industry there, residents are going to be in big trouble soon. Many will have no job to even go back to whenever they do open it all up and with unemployment checks far off....it's going to be very hard on families.
Isolated because we now know who to protect, who is high risk/nursing homes.Honest question and not snarky, but do you believe that the situation in some of the hotspots is isolated to those areas or do you expect that eventually this virus will spread and infect a large majority of people, and do you think the number of deaths (adjusted for population) will happen elsewhere eventually?
