So we were going to be a party of 4 - Me, DH, DS7 and our new baby who will be 8 months old so we would be 3 and a high chair, My mom just decided to go so now we will be 4 and a high chair problem is I cant' get any of our ressies now online for that size party but I wondered if they would put us at a 4 top anyway and a highchair on the end then I could just call reservations and change all of them instead of getting all new ones online. Please help I am stressed now. :confused3 BTW we are doing deluce dining this trip and it is a lot of reservations.

Unfortunately it is not likely they can just add a highchair to your table. Most of the restaurants at Disney are tightly packed, so there is just not room to do that.

Your best bet is to keep trying to change your ADRs to your new party size. Otherwise, you can show up with an extra guest, and hope they will be able to accomodate you. But there are no guarantees.

If you run into a restaurant that can't accomodate you, would your mom be willing to eat somewhere else? Or will you all skip the meal? That is something you really need to think about.

Best of luck!

Has anyone ever had the experience of being turned away for adding one extra person to their dinner reservation? I can't imagine it happening. Maybe if you shower up with 4 extra people. But one? plans change, and restaurants are generally very accommodating.

The thing is, the more popular Disney restaurants are usually booked full. Right now the OP has a table that will seat 4. It is very unlikely that they have reserved her a table that will hold 6. If the restaurant is booked solid, there will not be a larger table to move her family to.

This question comes up a lot. Disney will try, but if the restaurant is full, there is not much they can do.

A frreind of mine was in almost the same situation and they just showed up to resturant and if they could not fit an extra person her and her husband took turns holding the baby in thier lap. Maybe you could offer to do this if they can not fit you all. I would not recomend just showing up even though it worked out for her.

Disney doesn't reserve tables. ADRs are not reservations as it's typically understood restaurant reservations are defined, i.e. the restaurant holds a table open for the party at the time booked. What Disney does is once you check in they'll put you in line for the next open table that will fit your party. If you're moving from an even number to an odd number (4 to 5) that pretty much just means that instead of waiting for the next 4-top, you'll be waiting for the next 6-top. That's why a lot of posters report that they're able to be seated with an extra person. The problem comes when the restaurant is overbooked and they seat a number of 6-top parties before they seat you, since they weren't expecting another party to be waiting for a 6-top. It's possible that they will tell you they can't seat your enlarged party at all, but that's rare - even though it's rare you should have some sort of contingency. Try if you can to rebook your reservations for a party of five, even if you have to change times or restaurants.

Yes. We were turned away at WCC for dinner on a Friday night with one extra person. We chose to have the original group keep the reservation and the extra person had to entertain himself while the others dined.
