My Dhs cousin decided to meet us at MK. We have an ADR for Chef Mickeys.
Will they seat us with an extra person?
Will they seat us with an extra person?
If I say, "No, they'll make you go out into the park and find an additional person to fill that seat", will you know I'm joking?Along with that question, I have one of my own. What if I made a reservation for three people(at Chef Mickey's), but only two show up. Will that be okay? SHould I call them before I go to tell them or should I just explain to them when I get to the check in area? I would think it would be okay but just in case, I'm wondering if that's ever happened to anyone.
Im kinda mad that I planned all this 140 days ago and my in-laws invited her to come!!
Im glad its just for one night.
Im do not want to miss out on any of the ADRS I made!
I tried to rebook but they were booked.
My in-laws are letting her stay in there studio at SSR. I told them they better call SSR! But they wont.
Im worried about her parking her car there over night. She might get up and find her car towed???
I dont do things like this! Its the in-laws that think they can do this and there wont be any problems.
I wouldn't be surprised if they towed her car, they are keeping a close watch of those staying at resorts that do not have a reservation. We went to CR for a reservation for CM's and were told that there was a time limit for parking and after that time, your car WILL BE TOWED. And having an extra adult in the room over 2 does cost more, so I won't be surprised if they get in trouble for that either. I am a party of 3 adults and I have to pay extra for that extra adult, why should someone else get away with it. You should probably call SSR and give them a heads up yourself, because she might be SOL. It just rubs me the wrong way with people like that that cause trouble for those of us who do the right thing. LauraAnn, I certainly don't blame you, but your in-laws better get a clue.

Actually having an extra adult in the room only cost more if you are a cash paying guest. If you are a DVC member and staying on points, there is no extra charge for more than 2 adults in a room. That is only a CRO cash rule, not a DVC rule. (This is one of the great perks of DVC ownership!--it goes by occupany, and doesn't care if all four are adults--no extra charge). I guess we'll know more when the OP fills in the blanks. As for getting an extra person into an ADR, some places will and some will not. All you can do is try and have a back up plan.
She didn't indicate that they were DVC members, and since I am not a DVC member I would have no way of knowing that, but I'm betting an unregistered guest's car will still be towed. The last 2 times I have been they have been very close in checking who is staying at the resort and who is not.

another thread with a hot topic, can't wait to see the results on this one!!
There is also the matter of getting through the front gate each day. Without a parking pass, you have to talk to the guard and 'state your business' so to speak
No clue why it is a big deal for the inlaws![]()
Now, the good part, if they won;t seat you for 7, whatcha gonna do?(I say give her 5 bucks for a hot dog at caseys
)
