Will they seat us if our entire party hasn't arrived?

We have an ADR for dinner at LTT. One member of our party may arrive a little late. Will they seat us or do we all need to be there?

When we had an ADR (for dinner) there in May 2007 they wouldn't seat us till our whole party was there (we were waiting on 2 out of a party of 6) We were about 15 minutes early, and as soon as we sat down to wait for the rest of the party, they called our name. When my DH went up to the CM and told them 2 members of our party were on their way, she told us we all had to be present to be seated. They showed up maybe 5 minutes later, but our name was put at the bottom of the "pile". It was about another 15 minutes before they called our name after that.
But, this past December we had a lunch ADR and they seated me, my DH and DS while we were waiting on my DMIL and DSIL with no problems.
So...who knows?:confused3 Maybe it has something to do with the characters being present at dinner?

Not when we've been there.

In 2007, we had several table-service meals at LTT.

In May, we were a party of 8, & they would not seat us until the last 2 of my group arrived...my parents had run next door to a gift shop.

This past Christmas at LTT, it was 4 of us & they would not seat us until DH came downstairs from their MEN'S room! I don't think she actually believed that he was right upstairs.

You know while I know its frustrating not to be seated I understand why they do this. I know at my place of employment they will seat two people of a party of twenty, these people are holding these tables waiting for people and the servers missing out of money. I mean I can see a 5 to 10 minutes but I see all the time people holding tables for 30-60 minutes.

We were a party of 6. One member of our party was in the restroom and they wouldn't seat us. Sometimes, they go more than a little overboard.

You are generally told to have your entire party with you before you check in.

It is my experience that they would not seat us until we were all present. I actually think this is fair. I have had the same experience in restaurants outside of WDW as well.

The same happened to us at LTT. DSis was in woman's room.

We ate at the Coral Reef for out anniversary a few weeks ago and Dh and daughter were running late so I just went and checked us in thinking we would have to wait a few minutes anyway. Well they seated me right away. Dh came about 5-10 minutes later. A minute or two later, we had a diver sign for our anniversary that my parents planned for us. The waiter came and said he was so glad that dh showed up because he was worrying that the diver was going to come and I was going to be alone with our son. So I guess in this case, it must have been on the reservation and like the waiter said, they never know exactly when the divers are going to show up, just a general time when you are supposed to be there. But in most other dining experiences, they have made us wait for everyone to be there.
