Will the kids still be cute after 6 days of 24/7? Updated -- Post 426, P 29

Unfortunately, your idea about the tickets won't work...they have to have been validated at the turnstiles (ie. let someone in) in order to work at the fastpass machines. :headache:

Oops, you beat me to it! I was going to say the same thing. Tickets that haven't been used for entry into that particular Park that day will just be rejected by the FP machines. Nice thought to try and help them out though.

I suppose that makes sense...but it was such a good idea on Kathy's part. Ugh.

Otherwise, your plans look great Kathy. I'm super impressed that the girls can stay up late enough for EMHs.

Looks like a fun day. Glenn is right about the FP plan though...

I can't believe you like Tower of Terror, but not Rock n Rollercoaster. You're like the anti-Captain Oblvious. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I hope EMH is as good for you as it was for me. The night I went to MK for EMH everything was walk on. I was able to ride Thunder and Space Mountain a few times each. It truly emphasized the "magic" in extra magic hours.:thumbsup2

Kathy - I think you are just going to have to drag those little girls out of bed so they can get to park opening with you! Good luck with that!:rotfl:

Your plans sound great! Tower of Terror is my favorite. Mmmm...Sci-Fi- I LOVE their onion rings!! Last time I went to the parks in January, the evening EMHs were not crowded at all.

Hey Kathy, was cold today, and LOTS of animals out on the safari!! I'll try to put them in my quest tomorrow!! I had lots of layers on and I was FREEZING getting on the monorail at 7 this evening, my teenagers and hubby weren't cold, I told them it was because they were walking, I'm driving LOL Ihope you had an awesome Christmas!!!!

FREEZING???? What was the temperature? If it is anything above 50, I'll be happy (it was 19 when I left the house this morning with the windchill).

You were posting while I was Kathy!! Funny!! They won't let you get fp's for the tickets unless the tickets have been used at the turnstiles. I tried that with my hubby's ticket one time, and it spit out a NO LOL Just a heads up! And I think I'm with ya'll on Monday :)

DARN DARN DARN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it was a good idea, but I should have known that it wouldn't work. :headache:

See comment above to Glenn.

Thanks, Tina. I was impressed two years ago with how long the girls lasted for EMH's. If you remember, they were the cause of us missing our Kona breakfast the next morning because we made it almost until the end of EMH's.

Looks like a fun day. Glenn is right about the FP plan though...

I love TOT...it is my favorite Disney ride, and I love giving the Captain grief about it. I'm not a fan of EE or Rock & Roll lately...at my advanced age (quiet, Marv!), it is too hard on my head and neck.

I hope EMH's are like that for us. So cool that you got to do a few things multiple times. I just wish Thunder was going to be open when we go. :sad2:

Well, maybe since we aren't staying out late the night before, we can get them up a little earlier. Mary, what do you think?

The onion rings are to die for! I hope this January follows the same pattern as the January you were there.

i knew you were going on the trip from facebook but didnt realize you had pretr going thanks for the heads up.:thumbsup2

i read this somewhere.:surfweb:
the other persons tickets wont work because you will not have scanned them at the gate to validat them as being the park that day thus they will not spit out a FP ticket for you.:thumbsup2

THANKS :) I was going to give you a heads up about the tickets too. You can't use them for FP unless you go through the turnstile first :( We've also tried that trick too and it didn't work!!

The thing about Jan that I hate is the weather is so unpredictable! In Oct and Nov it's warm, Dec can be iffy, by Jan it's usually just plain cold, Feb can be iffy, and by March it's typically warm but I'll throw you some Jan pixie dust for warm weather and for myself so the kids in my class can have outdoor playtime!!!!!

Thanks for all the nice comments on the kids. Maybe i will put up some from our Sep/Dec 2010 trips. Yep Sun is DHS day. It is all you on TOT with Avery. Cay says she will go when when she is 10 LOL. My friend Heather will take Av on Rock N Roller. VOTLM is a must. I made us 1 12:25p ressie at Sci Fi.
Girls do better at eve emh cause we are coming from Az which now is a 2hr time difference. They pretty much stay on Az time which can be good and bad. Trying to get them up for rope drop at 7a Fl time is 5a Az time where eve emh is at bedtime or after. Cayley will sometimes nap but Av not at all. Cayley also likes to stay out late where Av tires out quicker. We will not have a stroller which may factor in. We did have one part of the trip last time. I love emh at MKwhen it is not super crowded. There is something extra magical about the MK at night. Though it will be wierd to not have a parade to watch.....

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: onion rings at Sci Fi.

I understand the time difference. I think we will have no problem getting FP's for TSM at that time of year.

I thought Cayley did TOT last year? I'll do it several times with Avery....my favorite ride. I can't believe no night time parade. This is the third time in a row that we've not seen a night time parade....well, except for Boo to You.

I am praying for 60's or 70's...I'll be quiet happy with that.

Happy birthday Kathy! :bday:

Christine and Lisa, thank you for the birthday wishes.

Okay, caught up over here. :) Everything sounds like so much fun.

We were there this past January, around the same time you'll be there. We froze for the first few days. When my BFF arrived 3 days later, she apparently brought the sun from Chicago. It was gorgeous for the rest of the trip. Except for our last day when it downpoured for the majority of the day. Of course, as long as you're in Disney, all will be well.

And I will toss out some pixie dust that there's no snow for your Chicago departure! pixiedust:

Hm, I thought I had signed up here as well ...... looks like I didn't, even though I had already read the first few pages here! :lmao:

Okay I am officially here now! :thumbsup2

OMG Kathy I KNEW someone else had a birthday this week and here I am late with the
Happy
Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you had a great day! :flower3:

Your DHS plans look great! I love Writer's Stop, it's probably my favorite place to eat in DHS. Well, Starring Roles is good too. And the Turkey Leg stand. :rotfl:

I hope EMH's at MK aren't too crowded, I don't think they will be in January! They were really bad in September? I'm thinking of going the last week of September in 2012 and was hoping for LOW crowds!!! :rotfl:
