Anyone else waiting for the darn race to get over so you can go out for Valentines Day? DH promised that he'd take me out as soon as it finished & here we sit--it should have been over almost 3 hours ago! Looks like he'll be owing me big time for making me wait this long!

The track broke and they had to fix it. I'm behindon TIVO so don't know what is happening live at the moment.

But a 100 minute red flag, really kills the momentum. Not to mention the yellow flags outside of that.

I'll admit, glad I went to the shootout last weekend and not the 500. It is a long race without issues.

Some of us stayed in and made good use of that 2nd red flag, though we should have made good use of the first. But we made good use of it

DH was taping it and he taped it past 2hrs. He just turned on the TV to find out he missed the end.

We waited patiently until about an hour and 15 minutes into the red flag and decided is was going to get too cold to stay. We heard them go back to racing just as we got on the shuttle bus, but then the track broke again. It was just too cold to stay and the race finally finished just as we got back home. It was comfortable in the sun as long as you had a jacket, but out of the sun was downright cold. Rumor has it they're going to have some snow plows standing by for next year...

DH and I have never been Nascar fans, never grew up watching the races or anything.

Apparently my DS is a HUGE Nascar fan. He literally watched it on and off all day, except when he fell asleep this afternoon. He's almost 3!! Luckily it ended or else he would have missed the end because his bedtime was already pushed back for it ....

At one point when a car got a flat, he looked at my DH and said "Oh No, is he going to have to go have a pit stop?"

This kid has NEVER watched this before but he just loved it. He also loves the movies Cars, so maybe he just made the connection.
