Hi all,

We will be staying this August (last week of August), so i'm making my "dining game plan" now (yes, i'm crazy since my ADR date is not until late Feb., but I know this board never judges :lovestruc)

Anyway, I was looking to try either Citricos or Cali Grill (have never been to either), and i'm just not crazy about their current menus.

I'm curious, do you think the menus will be different for late August? (i'm not limiting this question to those 2 restaurants, i'm curious in general how often Disney table service restaurants in general change their menus)

Thanks for any feedback, Marina :cutie:

Unfortunately I don’t know the answer but just want to say you are not crazy.
I have pretty much planned dining and our trip is not until Thanksgiving so can’t make ADRs until May.

I know CA Grill uses seasonal ingredients and can change menus frequently. So yes, the menu will very likely be different. The mains may stay the same, though may be prepared differently and the sides will likely be changed. We are going to CA Grill in 3 weeks and I’m hoping for some menu changes too. Really bummed there’s no risotto on there! I’d love a braised beef too, though the pork will be good.

Yes, it is very likely that the menu will change by August. Pretty much all the top tier ("signature") restaurants change their menu seasonally to take advantage of the best ingredients. In actuality, those menus will probably change at least twice before your trip.

We ate at Citrico’s in September. I had a fabulous meal after having difficulty choosing among several appealing items.

We ate there in December and there was nothing I wanted. I ordered he chicken by default and it was horrible.

So I have no clue what you might get in August. We are going to skip it in May.

I agree with others that the signatures especially seem to change their menus out seasonally. California Grill unquestionably seems to do this the most, which is one of the reasons we love it so much. We love to try new options and love that they never disappoint. I think you'd be safe making a reservation no matter how far out.

The other signatures don't seem to change out quite as frequently, but what you see online now will likely vary by summer. Though I'd add that Yachtsman, Flying Fish, and Narcoosee's don't seem to switch out quite as often and are more static.

There isn't as much variation at table service restaurants, but it would be safe to not get your hopes up on any one dish.
