Will the addition of the Dining Plan make point rentals even more Desirable?

Obviously if there is a larger supply of renters trying to get a great deal, the average rental cost of points is going to go up.

are they charging the 37.99 for a child or will that be like 11.99 or so? Thanks Michelle

For kids 3-9, it's $10.99 or $11.99 -- not sure which.

Just like tickets, kids 10 and up are full price.

The 37.99 is for Adults.

I really wish that they would allow us to choose the number of days that we would need the meal plan for. I would purchase it for almost all of our stay, but not for every single day of our trip! They need a flex-meal plan! They would sell a lot more plans. I'm sure that's the number one reason people won't buy the dining plan.

Since there is no tax charged on the purchase of the current dining plan (at $35/adult, increasing to $37.99 on January 1), there is no reason to expect there to be tax charged on the dining plan when purchased through DVC. In other words, the $37.99 is not taxable (which makes sense, since this would constitute paying tax on a price that already includes a portion allocated to sales tax as well as a portion allocated to the tip).

I thought I read, when the plan was added to room pkgs, that the price of the plan had tax added to it. In otherwords, the $37.99 would be charged room tax, since it was part of a "pkg". Since it is obviously an add-on for DVC (which included room tax in the point structure), they may not tax it for DVC, or they may charge the local sales tax.

Thanks! I have a 12 yr old "adult" and a 9 yr old! Happy Holidays Michelle
