Ah, mates.
The booking of the airfare. How it vexes me. It's a fine goal, to be sure.
A goal that could result in my insanity.
Oh wait...we're all mad here.
Which brings me to my other Alice reference.
This morning I trotted my self on over to the gym. Today is my new leaf. As in I'm turning one over. I'm not eating carp anymore. Not the fish, the acronym for...oh, you get it.
I'm done. I'm done preventing myself from losing the last five pounds with my self-sabotage eating habits. I'm done with thinking eating one more bite is okay when in all reality I'm full. And I swear, this is trip related.
So I've always been great at exercise and horrible at maintaining normal eating habits. So today was my new leaf day, and I was jazzed.
For several reasons. I work out a lot. And although the program was discontinued this year, I was able to earn a goodly sum that I put towards our vacation savings for working out and logging my exercise. I believe we discussed this before, savvy?
But what I neglected to mention is that I also got additional rewards by gaining those points, and I had to order my rewards before the program ended or risk losing them all. So before the beginning of July, I placed my order for two items. And one came a couple of days ago.
So this is love...doodoodoodoo...so this is love....
Ah yes. I am now the proud owner of an MP3 player. And before you laugh that I haven't joined the technological age of Ipods and whatnots, the budget just doesn't allow for that kind of stuff typically, and I really got into the swing of working out this year.
So, my happy little MP3 player and I had a little interlude with my computer this morning. Upon which my happy little MP3 player now contains the entire Magic Kingdom Special Events CD.
Oh yes, my friends. Because there's nothing like a little Halloween fun to get you jazzed for your work out. Although I find it very difficult not to bob my head back and forth in time with Boo to You while I'm on the treadmill.
Anyone else have these issues?
Anyone?
:::crickets chirping:::
Moving on. So as I'm getting on the treadmill because someone is already on the elliptical machine, I note something wonderful, something lovely, something actually interesting on television!
A Disney special on the travel channel!
Oh, were the cosmic workout gods lined up in my favor today. I had my Disney Halloween music, my Disney Travel program, and a desire to shed some pounds. All was good in my world.
And then it happened.
During my workout, and the travel program, they showed footage of the Wilderness Lodge. And I got the biggest Cheshire Cat grin you've ever seen in your life on my face. (Took a while to pull that reference in, but it was worth it, right?)
I saw the hotel, the pool, the lobby.
And I thought, I'm going there. And I'm going to enjoy it soooooo much!

Which caused me to walk faster...and up the workout even more, as I was listening to my happy little MP3 player soothing me with irrevent renditions of This is Halloween and Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf...
:::sigh:::
Now, this is the music of choice in the TK family right now. So much so that the little nut has actually started singing it! This is huge to me, because he's really started getting into it and even if he doesn't know all the words, it is just the darndest thing to hear my little nut singing about heffalumps and woozles and they're very sly sly sly sly.

The kid was so cute the other day in the car, he had me laughing and clapping. Whilst driving. Which is no easy feat, my friends. Ahh, my little nut.
And while we're veering off topic, let's get back on and talk about our fine goals, to be sure, as there are several.
1. Procure airfare.
Hopefully this will be a done deal on Tuesday. Or at least some kind of deal....please? Airfare gods?

2. Comfortable footwear
Another vexing issue. Let's all offer some

to the shoe gods. Since I've now ordered and exchanged
Crocs, and am currently waiting on a pair of these bad boys...
Yup, I caved. I've been coveting them, and well, Tink did it!

So we'll see how they work for me, I think they'll be here on Monday. Because truthfully, I'm a flip flop girl. They are my footwear of choice in the summer, and it's really what makes me comfortable. So I thought why not give them a whirl? Worst case scenario, they go back. I'm no stranger to returns.

3. Clothes...what do you mean she bought more clothes?
Alright, you got me. But seriously, other than the white tank top I need to complete my pirate costume...I'm really done shopping for this trip. I swear...well...except for this...
Now you all know how much I love you when I'm willing to post the WIDEST part of me on the internet. I absolutely love this skirt. I've wanted a denim skirt for ages, and I found one for a good price on...you guessed it...kohls.com. Basically it was just under $12, and since my shorts ran about $10, I figured that was reasonable. The best part? It's got a cute belt...I haven't had accessories in so long, and it's really a skort...but not in the traditional sense, it looks like a skirt all the way around, but has the shorts underneath for added coverage, and I LOVE IT! It'll prevent my...ahem...ample thighs from rubbing together and it's so darn cute for vacation. I haven't been this excited about a skirt in...wait...I don't think I've ever been this excited about a skirt.
4. The Trip Binder - it needs cover art. I'm just having a hard time deciding.
I'm working on it, I swear. I've added some things. See?
See that's my new oh so fashionable matchy matchy zippered pocket.
And that's my lovely list of all the fun activities at the Wilderness Lodge, and some that I thought sounded interesting at Fort Wilderness, too. LL, I think you might like this, I need to send it to you.
So that's my list for now. Eventually, we'll check some things off and add some other fine goals. Like packing lists and whatnot.
But I know you were all just clamoring for an update, so there you go.
Oh, and by the way...
in 2 months and 1 day I will meet Jack Sparrow...in 2 months and 1 day I will meet Jack Sparrow...and as I was working out this morning and had already done 30 minutes on the treadmill and was aiming for 20 on the elliptical and the last 5 minutes were just kicking my butt, I pictured Adventureland in my head...and a lovely meet n greet...and somehow those last five minutes didn't seem so bad...
