Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

I found a decent rate through expedia on AirTran. $392.00 for both of us, roundtrip, non stop from Boston to Orlando. I didn't think that it was too bad. I don't think I will have the extra money before the wedding though and this deal is good through June 5th. Oh well. I am not a huge expert on flight prices so I don't know what a great deal is.
Honestly, if the peace of mind is important to you, than that's not a bad price. But to me, it doesn't sound too bad. Again, I don't know about flying out of Boston, because it's not my major airport, but I'm guessing that's good. Maybe Tink could clarify. Anyway, I think just knowing its done if that's a price you can afford makes it worth it. :goodvibes

I am confident that you will find that balance!
Thank you.
I'll happily talk about lying around on a beach drinking rum -- I will also happily lie around said beach drinking rum! :thumbsup2
I'll join you! :thumbsup2

If only the nearest beach to me wasn't six hours away!

Alright, you've got a good imagination, (Indy M&M ice cream sandwich = Main Street), here's what you do. Wait until the kids, especially the tween girl is asleep, spread out some beach towels, change into your new bathing suit with your sparkly flip flops, have DH make you some sort of mixed drink, put on your sunglasses, lay down on the towel, close your eyes and pretend. :thumbsup2 ;)

:rotfl2: I love it! Pretty sure we have some rum in the house, too!

I am currently pouting because there is a midnight showing of Indy 4 and DH is refusing to go. I know, deep down inside, that it is pure foolishness -- there is no way any of us could survive on 2 and a half hours of sleep tomorrow, but there is that other part of me that is screaming, "Indy 4 will be starting and I won't be there!"

So, I am pouting and sighing heavily in the direction of DH. He is ignoring me. :headache:

Hi guys. Well, today I informed my supervisors of my decision to apply at the other branch. It was as well-received as you'd expect, they'd hate to lose me but are too classy and professional to raise a big fuss.

I e-mailed the other branch manager, and let her know they were in the know, so as to keep the air clear. She informed me they'll be accepting applications for about another week, or perhaps to the end of this week, and then she'll be setting up interviews. So keep your fingers crossed.

I'm going to cross the child care bridge when I come to it if I'm offered the position. One step at a time. I am driving myself crazy trying to figure everything out, and just in case you didn't know, I'm not GOD! Oy, have I been stressing. Add to it today my mom gave me her candid opinoin about why she thinks I shouldn't do it. Let's not go into to details, but I came home totally bummed and needed DH to snap me out of it. Again, let's just wait for the interview, one step at a time.

I am right in thinking this is a good idea, right, guys? It's closer to home, I'd double my salary, it'd take some of the pressure of driving off of me...argh! No more talkey.:lmao:

I think it's time to break out a serious cold or flu or something. Who cares if it's the IWANNAGOSEEINDY flu? It's still very, very serious.:thumbsup2

Yes, it is a good idea. Don't keep second-guessing yourself. :)

Thank you. One of my less charming qualities is that I tend to over-analyze everything. To death. Ad naseum. Hence the copious amounts of plans for kidnapping my favorite pirate, and my forcing myself to throw away the itinerary. It's a new day for TK! Huzzah!!!!

:rotfl2: I think DH would see through that one -- I could enlist Connor's help because he is already badgering us to go tomorrow. However, I don't think, as a mother, I can do that -- because he needs to be well-rested for his luah for school tomorrow. Besides, what are the chances that either Chelsea or Connor would stay awake for the whole thing?

Sigh -- I guess I will just have to wait...

I over-analyze everything. I have tried all my life just to trust my gut instincts.

You are right! It will all work out how it is supposed too. Everything happens for a reason.

I'm part of the over-analyze club too! My mom kindly pointed out to me six months ago not to worry about my wedding guests having glasses of ice water waiting for them on the table at the reception. For some reason, this was a detail that haunted me. :lmao:

Sigh -- I guess I will just have to wait...
Yeah, those good parenting skills will just bite you in the but, huh?:lmao:

It's very hard for me. I relied very heavily on the advice of my sister and mother for a huge portion of my life. Until I realized that their perspective may not be the best agenda for me personally. But I still suffer from it on occasion. It's very difficult to break away from something you've done since childhood.

You are right! It will all work out how it is supposed too. Everything happens for a reason.
Thanks, Lady!

For right now, I am going to wait. I just hope I am not kicking myself in the butt later. I just don't have the money with the cruise and all the stupid last minute wedding stuff. I need some Disney stress relief/magic/distraction. :sad2:

 Everyone has already said what I could say so I will just give you lots of  and :goodvibes

lol Sounds like you need :goodvibes too.

Disney stress relief... you have found the right place.

Oh, to the contrary, my dear Captain! Look, our little mascot loves these new duds!

DSCI0008-1.jpg

First, Buzz Lightyear! To infinity and beyond!

DSCI0009-1.jpg

Mickey playing basketball! Soar and score, baby! (Minds out of the gutter, people, this shirt is for a three year old!:lmao: )

DSCI0010-1.jpg

And last but not least some Power Ranger fury!

Okay, so obviously you all can tell that my Disney Shopping purchases arrived tonight. Sad to say some of them didn't make the cut. The full price shirt I bought with Mickey on it just isn't the greatest quality, so it's going back. I love the 101 dalmations shirt I got for DS, but since it's such a big size, I think I'm going to save it for a little Halloween Treat, or even Christmas. No reason to add to the wardrobe when I can stash a gift for later. ;) Or, we could always use it as a get excited for the trip present. Like kids need help to get excited for Disney, what am I thinking?:rotfl2:

Anyhoo, these tanks are adorable, but they are also big on DS. Like, the armholes are big. They bottom hem is well above his knees, and you can see enough shorts between them that I am sort of okay with it, but I'll let you all in on a little secret. I am frugal. Extremely frugal. And I refuse to purchase an xs for a child that weighs 43 pounds and measures 43 inches tall, roughly. According to these measurements, he "should" be wearing a small. Then, they arrive, and they're big. However, there are 3 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days left until our trip...hey, that three, three, three thing is pretty cool...does that mean I should have three glassess of champagne tonight to celebrate? Crack open the bubbly, baby! Perhaps trip mascot Jack Sparrow will join me. ;) ;)

Anyway, back on track. I figure there's some time in there for growing, and truthfully, if these are bigger, they'll ventilate more, keep him cooler, and if I'm really lucky, I'll get two summers out of them instead of one. I just don't want to look like one of those parents who doesn't know how to dress their child...it's so silly to think that way, but it really helps stretch out our clothing budget even more.

Now, I do have a question for you folks, and I wonder what you think.

DS got very excited about all the tanks. Yes, the Cars one is missing, it's in his room. We actually washed and dried it to see if it would shrink any. I think it might have a teensy, tiny bit, but not enough to make a huge difference in the size on my three year old. Anyway, he loved Mickey and Buzz and Cars. I pulled out the Power Rangers one and I got a deadpan no reaction. Here's the thing. He doesn't know who they are, and therefore they don't really rate on the excitement scale. To you, I say, should I return this tank? It's not a necessary item. We have three that fit, and I am tentatively planning to do laundry on vacation. Even if I don't, DS has PLENTY of t-shirts to get him through our vacation and then some. Since I'm already returning a shirt I'm thinking maybe, send this one back too. And something about it just looks so old for my little boy.:confused3

Add to that some unexpected car expenses (long, long story) and the mentality that if we're not in love with something we've spent extra money on, it goes....I'm betwixt and between.

Weigh in folks...join me...and DS...and Pirate Mascot Jack...

in the curse of Disney Shopping!

Mwa-ha-ha!:rotfl:

I say return it. You got him some cute clothes but if he doesn't seem jazzed up about Power Rangers, then return it. I could never get into them as a child either. ;)

I'm leaning towards returning it, too. If he's not jazzed about it, there's really no point.
