Will TarzansKat meet Captain Jack? ~A Pirate's Life for 3 Pre-Trippie~ We're back!

BF refuses to let me "distribute" the books. "Put them in totes," he says. "I don't care if they're heavy," he says. "I'm a STRONG MAN," he says (as he beats his chest and grunts).

So I smiled.
I followed his instructions.
And I'm saving an "I told you so" for 9/28.

Now we we know why woman was created, eh?

To balance out all that testosterone... :confused3

Has he gotten any of the ones from the new movie?

A few of the Joker ones.

Maybe.
:lmao:
I did offer to give up one of the bureaus for him, though.
I haven't yet figured out where the carp currently in there is going to go but I'm sure I'll find somewhere to put it.

Hey, you have a whole house now! Surely there must be somewhere to distribute stuff! :goodvibes

Have some bananas. They're high in potassium.
I have NO IDEA if that means they're good for your cold.
But they DO dance.

I love me some dancing bananas.

I'm so happy your flights worked out!

You know I had to go and check my flights too, right?
Yeah.
No drops for Tink but we were satisfied with the prices we had. Flights for our departure day did drop another $10 (down to $89) but they are all later day flights, which we aren't interested in. And since we only paid $99 for our early A.M. flights, it's kind of a moot point.

Bummer on no drops for you, but considering the state of things, you really got a great rate! :goodvibes

If you would like, hon, I can pm you the number. I actually got it from LL. She's in the know.;)

YES PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE!

And holy carp on the flight far decreasing TWICE! That is AMAZING!

My husband would be thrilled if we could get a decent fare. The last time I looked it would be $1800 dollars for our clan to fly down. Fuggetaboutit. I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for something between now and then though. If it'll save us a 13 hour car trip, gas and wear and tear on the van it'll be worthwhile!

I'll get that to you.

I know! Apparently the airfare gods :worship: have taken pity on me, as I've been cursed by the cold virus gods.

YIKES! :scared1: That's a chunk of change.

Hurray for airfare dropping twice and letting you get the later flight! Hurray for park hopping being back in the cards!

Boo for cold remaining.

But the other stuff is really cool! :woohoo: :yay: :dance3:

Everything is working out wonderfully for the TK fam! Yay!!! (except for the being sick thing. I'm sorry about that. I hate being sick in the summer.) I'm so happy for you that you are getting the flight you want for a much better price!

Thank you for reminding me to check if my parents' flight prices have dropped!

Thanks, Jiri! I'm really excited about that later flight.

Now is this pesky cold would just go away.

Thanks! At least I'm sick now and not in Disney. :confused3 That's what I keep telling myself, but it's not always working.

These are the 'joys' of having a family of 6!

Oh, I'm sure there are many 'joys'! :lmao:

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered weak and weary
of why my footwear pained me so queerly,
pained me like no DISer should endure
While I pondered, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping
an epiphany of thought upon my brain, like a rapping
upon a chamber door...

An idea, came so sudden and clearly,
to solve my foot woes was the aim of this query,
and this epiphany did so nearly,
help me on the road to nevermore...

A flash of inspiration approached so rapid,
upon the keyboard, I began to tapping,
searching, searching, always searching
for footwear of forgotten lore...

Then! Behold! What is this?
What advice received upon the DIS?
A Teva Mush flip flop I should purchase
to end my footwear woes evermore!

So indeed, upon the keyboard tapping,
while my heart beat strong, I felt the rapping,
and the satisfaction of one who will soon quoth "nevermore."

Upon this eve, they did arrive
the Teva Mush flip flops, black as night,
black to match my outfits nearly, and help me to forget my query
of the footwear of forgotten lore...

Down the stairs did I rush
To try on these fair Teva Mush
Would they hold to the test?
Would they be true, and serve steadfast?
Would I soon quoth "nevermore?"

Nevermore! The search has ended.
Reality upon my feet has descended,
in the form of Teva Mush black,
and so my heart is lifted back
to happy heights, anticipation of the fun in store...

Trips to the World, and lots of walking
happily through the miles, with no balking
at the speed or distance we traverse
has madness seized the universe?

No, dear friends, and simply this
upon my feet the Teva Mush do sit
cradling them like newborn babes
with arch support and a comfy footbed in spades
ending the pain and footwear lore,
quoth TK, "Nevermore."

Poe would be so proud!

And I am so proud--er, happy--that you will have shoe drama nevermore!

...At least until the next trip. ;)

I just tried on a pair of Teva Mush yesterday that one of my co-workers was wearing -- instant heaven! I have resolved to buy some!

The raven that sits upon my desk at school would be impressed with your ode to Poe -- I am too! :thumbsup2

The arch support is just amazing! I can't wait to really break them in, not just around the house.

But not too much. Don't want to ruin them before Disney. ;)

I love Poe. Always have. I believe there's actually a book on my shelf right now of his collected works. :thumbsup2

Ahhhh...my Black Mush Teva flippies have family in TK!

Now the real question is "Would Poe wear flip flops or Crocs?" Ponder that my friends!

Heidi, I laughed so hard, it triggered my hacking cough! :rotfl: Now that was a good laugh!

Personally, I see him as a black of night Crocs kind of guy. Flips seem too frivilous for Poe.

Didn't mean to cause harm!

Well, the question is, is this early in his life, the middle of his life, or towards the end of his life? ;)

Give 'em all to me!

I have a book of his collected works too, only mine is in a box in my old room at my parents' along with all the other books I don't yet have room for!

I should definitely dig it out before Halloween, though. :thumbsup2

:scratchin You ladies have given me much to consider.

Give 'em all to me!

Earlier in his life I think he would have worn flip-flops -- well, maybe not early but when he was with Virginia and life seemed full of promise (until she contracted TB, became sick, and died). Afterwards, he would have begun his downhill spiral and would have worn crocs until he spiralled out of control and went to going barefoot.

:goodvibes
