Actually, I'm glad you asked. I was totally meaning to include this in my post, and forgot.

I used the Avery Dark Transfers, even on DS' white shirt. Personally, they come out better than any of the light transfers we've tried, and I think they're a better quality product. Plus, no need to reverse the image, which is nice.

Okay, I see where you're confused.

That image is all color. And it's a lot of black ink. So when you print it on the transfer paper, there's your black square with the image of Jack and the white text, and then you've got some extra white edges around it, the edges of the transfer paper.

I do a lot of scrapbooking, so I used one of my 12 inch trimmers to get right up to the black edge so there's no white outline. I also used a corner rounder to round the edges off, as sometimes when you leave a 90 degree corner, it seems as if it will peel up.

You're half right. It depends on what color your shirt is. If you're going to use a white shirt, it doesn't matter, because the extra edges around your transfer will blend into the white.

If you're putting your avatar on a black shirt, then your white edges will show, regardless of what type of transfer product you use. Unless you very, very carefully cut out the mouse head completely. Savvy?

And it's funny you bring that up, because I thought about making one very similar to your avatar for our day in the Animal Kingdom. Haven't decided yet.
