Will SW add more times?

I just got dinged from SW and it's for a good price but not for the time of day that we can travel. From past experience, does anyone know if they normally open up other times of the day for dinged fares?

Can you book another airline? What's more important the time or the price?

If it's the price book the DING fare, in the event discounts are available for your preferred times you can switch without penalty. If it's time book the more expensive flights. You can get a credit if the fare goes down.

DING sales are new, in the past SW didn't generally add discounted seats as the flight sold out but as the date gets closer they sometimes will add seats during a promotion.

The time is more important for us right now. I have to book SW because I won't have a definite on my brother's schedule until May.

I could wait until May and then I would know for sure what date and time would work for us and then I could book any airline. The only problem is that I have been checking other airlines and most of the flights now have a stop over. I am afraid if I wait to book in May then I won't get the time we need and a nonstop flight.

So my thoughts were to book SW and that way if dates and times change then we would be okay. I guess I should just book a regular sw flight.

This is all knew to me so I am just a bit nervous and cautious.

If I booked the ding fare and then a cheaper ding fare came out could I change with penalities. If I booked the regular sw and a ding fare came out that I could use then could I change to the ding fare?

Sorry, this is our first vacation ever and all this is new to me.

There is no penalty for changing flights with SWA and yes, you can change, but you would have to cancel your original booking and then use the credit to book the Ding fare.
