I was looking at flights to go to LAX (trip to Disneyland) in August and all the internet specials are gone. I can't spend almost $400 per person for the fun fares. Will they have more specials? I know they were there last month and I couldn't make definate plans. I hope I haven't missed it. I wonder if I can find any flights from Pittsburgh or Albany for about $200 on another airline?Any one with any advise/experience? I really need to go, having Disney withdrawl with no trip to plan!

Not sure about that, but make sure that you have <ding>. It will be the best way to find cheap flight for SW IMHO. You can find out everything you need to know on their homepage and by doing a search here about it. Good luck.

Another airport to check on is Ontario Airport. It's often overlooked but I can always get great deals flying out of there. It's actually about the same distance from Disneyland too. Just for fun, you may also want to try Orange County airport and Long Beach Airport.

It also helps if you're not flying on a weekend. I'm flying down on a Sunday, and there were not very many times available, but my return trip the following Monday is wide open...

I just finished booking my flights for August. I am paying $275 round trip, which I don't think is THAT bad considering I paid $220 last summer into Orlando. I got 2 one-way tickets instead of a round trip. I know I will hit more security but to save the money, it will be worth it. I got a ding special from Southwest for $110 for the way down. The way back was not going on special so I booked United for $165 on the way back.

Try looking at one-ways on the different airlines. Also, look to ONT, BUR, SNA as well as LAX. They are all within an hour of each other driving so you may save a little bit there. Check Jet Blue and Indepence Air. They had some sales going on, just some bad times flying into Buffalo

Have you tried the Southwest Shortcut to Low Fares? If your dates are flexible, it's very simple to find the absolute cheapest flight for a given time range.

We fly Southwest from MHT every year in August. I have NEVER paid more than 150.00. I am very confident that there will be a summer sale just like there was a spring sale and I think the fares will be even lower. I downloaded "ding" and have already gotten 136.00 RT two or three times for August, but I am still going to hold out for the summer sale. Good Luck.
