Thanks Davehaj for the code. But was reading another thread and appears that tickets do have to be activated by 9/4 and will expire one year from activation or on 9/4 whichever is earlier.

In looking at the Universale web site, it clearly says 'bought and activated by'.

As our trip is in November, think I'll pass on this.

I've called Universal twice about these tickets and was told something different each time. First I was told these could be activated anytime and would be good for one year from the activation date. The second time I was told they could be activated any time but would expire on sept 4th 2006. I am going to call a third time today and see what I am told this time. I will report back if anyone is interested?

Can this code be used by someone in the UK, do you think, or would it be a bit obvious! Does anyone know - and would any kind soul be prepared to let me have the code.

I'm going this September and, hopefully, next June so APs would be very useful

I emailed USF regarding the Annual Pass, enquiring about the 4 September activation. This is the reply I got so thought I would share it with you all.

Thank you for your mail. Yes if you are not able to come in by September 4 , your pass will automatically start on that date and expire on September 4, 2006.
If you have any further questions, please call us at 1 866 PASS 4 FUN.

Now, see, that email TOTALLY contradicts one I received, as well as the responses I've gotten from the annual pass department as well as guest services on the telephone.

What I've been told, at least five times, is that:

1) You must PURCHASE your AP by September 4, 2005, if using the Florida Five lottery code.

2) You can ACTIVATE your AP anytime, and it is good for one year from the date you activate it.

I wish Universal could get their act together on these responses...it's frustrating as heck for us Type A planners...

I think that Airwolf Ace on these boards is an employee at US/IOA, and his info is the same as mine.

I have emailed Universal again and asked them to make their position on this crystal clear. I have told them that people are receiving conflicting information.

Basically, we are travelling this year on Sep 19th and then next year on Sep 3rd so, if I am not going to be able to get the 2 uses out of the AP, it would probably not be worth it for me (esp. as we have already purchased 2 day/2 park tickets) before we heard about this offer.

I do hope that they clear up this issue, I would hate to buy it thinking it will be good for a year from activation only to find out it expires on 4 Sep 06.

OK, so just got ANOTHER reply from Universal saying exactly the same thing.

With any promotion there is always a redemption date , the only way that the pass will start from the first day you enter the park would be to pay the full price for the Power pass , which is 127.75.
With this promotion it will activate on Sept. 4th even if you don't come in on that date.

Hope that nobody ends up disappointed

I know someone that ordered the 2 year for the price of one year Burger King special last summer. They held onto their voucher for one year and just activated it this summer. They got the full two years when they activated last week. They did not lose a year on their pass. We were told the same thing about the BK deadline a year ago that some are being told about the Lotto deadline. Universal honored the BK special a year later. If Airwolf says it will work, then you can take it to the bank.
