will santa be at disney??

Will there actaully be a real santa for the children to see anytime in december at wdw, and if so, where??thanks, this is our first triip in dec and are very excited.I want my youngest to see santa there.

I'm not positive about the Magic Kingdom, but if memory serves me, in EPCOT in each country in World Showcase, they usually have the "Santa" native to each country available to meet (ie. Pierre Noel in France, Santa in US, etc..)

GL! We'll be there in Dec. too, but having to avoid Santa since my 4 yr old DD is terrified of him and characters (should make for an interesting trip!LOL!)

Santa and Mrs Clause are at American pavilion at Ecpot and IIRC there is a Santa at down town disney. Check out the "holdiay happenings" around the world as they have some great ones. Each country around the WS has a holiday story native to the country and my girls just loved them last year. The favs were Canada, China and Italy.

When we went in 2000, he was also set up in Downtown Disney, over by where Basin is now. It was set up just like a "mall Santa" but outside in the sunshine. We got a really cute picture of DS-1 at the time, in his shorts and sunglasses sitting with Santa. Since we're from a cold winter state, it's just funny to see DS dressed that way in his Christmas picture.

I'm really hoping they still do it there. I really want to get another picture like that with DS-5 and DD-6months.

I believe that at the MK you can see Santa in Town Hall, at least during the MVMCP.

Of course there are Santas all around the world in Epcot, but we also saw Santa at MK during the day. He was next to Town Hall.

Most of the different Santa's in the WS leave quite early in the evening. We tend to go the WS at night after everthing else closes and we had to go ealier to se them. It is really worth it. They tell stories and entertain. The American Santa was there really late, (Til closeing?) each night we were there in early December.

One warning if you have small children I could see some really confused little people seeing one santa after anohter and each telling his story of how HE deliveres gifts on Christmas Eve. DS was 11 on our Christmas trip so we did not have to deal with that. He however did agree to having his picture done with Santa and Mrs Clause and I know that is the last time so it is very specail to me

I belive in AK is where we saw Santa Goofy a couple of years ago. I think it was at Camp Mickey-Minnie

Also, there is a man that we see at WDW every year around the Thanksgiving/Christmas season that looks like Santa, beard and all. The kids always think that Santa is on vacation. We see him a lot at MGM.

witt the holiday season there are lots of santa's in the stores,but we are waiting until disney for our 9 month old to see santa.I hope he does not freak out!!!!!it will be a time to remember either way.

We've been at Christmas time more than once and we've seen Santa's all over the place. The best one IMHO is the Santa at the American Adventure at EPCOT. Mrs. Claus was there with him! They were absolutely fantastic! The other countries do have a santa reflecting their version of St Nick (except Morocco). One of our best activities was the kids getting a CM from each country to write "merry Christmas" in their native language in the kid's autograph books.

But! The Santa at downtown DIsney was not nearly so great. They may have replaced him, I hope they have. But he seemed more interested in taking a break than in "being Santa". In fact, my husband was wearing a Nebraska t-shirt and he started telling us about how he grew up in Nebraska....right in front of my daughter. He wasn't in character AT ALL!
