Will Remy and Guardians both be ILL$ this summer?

I think they’re going to drop the premier Paris Pass on us IF it’s successful there just like the pay per ride system (first Paris then WDW). At $90 It would be double the $40-45 with Genie+ and 2 LLI$.

They might temporarily go to 2 ILL$ per park and increase the base price of Genie (park hoppers can book 2; regular guests can only book 1 per day currently) to soften the blow.

Just charge $45 for G+ and offer everything as regular LL.
$75 for reride LLs, $100 for use LL at anytime.

$100 for use LL at anytime.
If these passes were that cheap, many thousands of people would buy them every day. (And yes, I know that it sounds ridiculous to call $100 "cheap." Maybe I should say "only that expensive.") The Lightning Lanes would have huge waits, and the standby lines would grind to a halt. If WDW ever goes down this path, expect a minimum of $300 per person per day.

Agree with Grasshopper.

Even at $300 I think they would sell out.

A lot of people would be unhappy, but I think they would sell out. People might not get them for every day of their trip, but might for just one or two of their days.

Multiply $100 by 3 days (MK/HS) and 4/5 people and you’re looking at $1,200/1,500.

I think that’s more reasonable to expect (vs $300) and adding back After Hours events for those of us who don’t want to deal with scheduling.

That is definitely more reasonable!

I just think they can ask for more and get it.

That’s true that they can charge more, but then people start staying offsite and the cost of rooms has gone up considerably (very few discounts); they are in the hotel business vs Universal

If you care about maximizing ride experiences (ie most Genie Plus and $LL customers) you really take a penalty for staying offsite by losing early entry and timing on the app. I don't know if "ride warriors" will make that change.

Personal example: My wife and I were going for 5 days around the holidays with 3 days of park tickets and staying at a Disney Springs Hotel. This is our preferred option as it's significantly cheaper, we love walking over to the Polite Pig for bourbon bbq breakfast each morning, and the pool is just as wet. Losing early entry or missing out on purchasing an $LL was not a huge loss for us. Then, our daughter decided to meet us in Orlando to share the holiday with us, she is a bit of a ride junky... So we canceled our room at our Disney Springs hotel and booked AoA for 5 days which is about 130 more per night and now I'm stuck with cafeteria food/can't walk to the Polite Pig :charac2:Because we pretend to love our child, we will power out early morning entry and sure to get an $LL or 4 (she is paying for them) before park hopping to Epcot each night for Festival of the Holidays drinking :)

We stayed at AOA suites the past few times. We booked Topolinos breakfast one day and dinner another but ended up cancelling the dinner as I was fed up of going to GET for Genie+ and ADR conflicts. First time at AOA was 8-9 years ago when it opened and suites were $190. Now it’s $606 (more than a deluxe room at AKL).

We’ve never stayed offsite at WDW. We’ve stayed at the Swan once and it was great (we could order milk/pantry items to be delivered at no extra charge and they were priced right) but just didn’t feel Disney. Transportation was good and now our family of 5 doesn’t fit anymore. We order cereal/milk/fruit from garden grocers but we don’t rope drop (3 kids; different time zone,) we stay late instead

After reading the full reply you wrote this is all that stuck with me. Me trying to figure out how to work this breakfast into our 12 days haha
By “breakfast” I meant sweet tea old fashion and jalapeño cornbread :)

Remy is very close to IG, Boardwalk and the Skyliner and maybe guests at those resorts will realise you can walk onto that ride without paying for it at rope drop at IG so it'll not be a pay for ride once GotG is open.
Our strategy for our Christmas trip is the same as last trip, Remy at rope drop, RoTR around 8pm, 7D during Enchantment and FoP late in the day, the only difference is we are thinking of Guardians during Harmonious. We did the last trip without paying extra, we're happy to join a line for those rides between 60-90 minutes wait.

I wish they would announce what will happen after Aug 7th. I'm going on the 15th and I feel like I can't budget for genie at all *sigh* (Trying to tell my travel buddy how much she should budget)
