Will PP photographers take pics with your camera?

I am deciding if we should get MM this year (got is last year) or if I should just hand off my phone to the PP photographer to take the pics (if they will do this??)? We have Ohana and Tusker House for character breakfasts so I know we get a pic there. DS is 3.5 so will be meeting characters but is right on the cusp of being tall enough for some of the rides that have photos attached. Looking for opinions!

Photopass photographers will take pictures with your camera or your phone. I like Memory Maker for the ride photos and Magic shots but when I do get it I make sure I stop and at the Photopass photographers for pictures to make sure I get as many as possible lol

I would have the CM that was standing next to PP photographer take pictures with my camera, with no issues. Also when there was no other person and just PP person, they had no issues taking pictures with my camera. I just had it open and set to take pictures so they only had to click he button. They will still take PP pictures as well. My issue always was that I ended up liking the photos the PP took and by the time I added the cost for those individually it was less expensive to just get MM, however we did stay for 8 days so that is more pictures and more value and we only had two ride picture (Buzz Lightyear and 7DMT).....It was worth it's weight in gold though for the Enchanted Tales with Belle attractions as DD was a knight, DD5 was the horse and DD7 was the Beast.

Yes, they will gladly take pictures with your own camera/phone! We do this all the time. I have not ordered the MM service this year so I can't personally vouch for that-- but I would utilize PhotoPass photographers whenever you can. Have them take pictures on their camera and yours, then after your trip you can view them all online and pick and choose that way if you'd like.

Thanks for your opinions!!! We did use it last year, but like I said the only ride photo was Buzz since DS was too young for everything else. We may to Enchanted Tales with Belle this year so good to know they are there too if we do purchase MM!!! I guess on the positive side it would allow me to just enjoy watching DS interact rather than worrying about getting my phone all ready and making sure the PP person has it...

Yes, they will definitely do so. Regarding MM it was one of the best things we did on our last trip. I looked at the cost initially and thought it was high but figured we'd try it. Exactly what you mention was the best part. Both my wife and I were able to enjoy the experiences together with our kids rather than one of us standing back and snapping pictures. With the MM then it also does not matterhow many photos you have as you have access to any of them. Download them all and use them on your digital frame.

They will, I brought my DSLR last time and some of the CM's would be able to point and shoot and some of the Photo Pass CM's actually knew their way around my camera and took some great pictures. (They always asked before playing with my settings).

However, I did enjoy MM. It was great having that option too. Like another PP said, I kind of liked their shots better than some of my own. A few days I didn't even bother bringing my camera to the parks.

We had Ohana breakfast last week and there was no photo included. The only character that had a PP photographer with them was Stitch. We had MM so we got the photos. The other characters didn't even have a CM with them so we took our own photos in two groups. We have done MM for our last two trips and I would highly recommend it. It is costly, but as long as you get photos taken and go on rides with photos it easily pays for itself! As someone else mentioned, the quality of PP pics is also a plus as they tend to be much better than those on your personal camera/phone. I find this to be especially true at the indoor character meets where the sets are lit for professional photos.

They will take a photo or 2 with your camera but make sure your camera settings and the zoom angle are set up for the composition you would like. If you settings are wrong - oh well. I'm an avid photographer and I like to fittle with the settings on my DSLR. I have had one photographer fix a setting that was left from a prior shot. Also be ready for the first shot that may be it.

They are very helpful and willing to do it, you just need to ask.

I don't have experience at meals, but in the park, they definitely will take pictures with your phone or camera.
