Will Pal Mickey work at DL??

Pal Mickey is a stuffed Mickey, about 10 inches or so. He's got a computer chip and interacts with you at the 4 parks in Walt Disney World. He'll tell you when you're near a ride, if the parade is about to start, hidden Mickeys, etc. He will also tell jokes and play games. He's really a lot of fun. I just wish DL would get the technology.

We also have Pal Mickey (you can buy them at any of the parks at WDW - approx $60) and are going to DL for the first time next year, it's a shame we won't be able to take him with us.

For anyone that doesn't know, outside of the parks he tells jokes and plays games and inside the parks he tells you about the area you are in and sometimes reminds you about parades etc. As you go past certain points in each park, they transmit a signal to Pal Mickey and he will vibrate to let you know he wants to talk to you. I have three children and they all love him (even DS, 13 last visit, enjoys him).

You can buy Pal Mickey inside the parks at WDW. But you can also get one from the Premier Character Warehouse (I think that's the name) for about half the cost. There was a new version that came out this year with Mickey all decked out for DL's 50th. So the outlets are selling the old version. He still works, just doesn't have quite as many games, and is wearing his classic red shorts instead of a tux. Check the Budget Board or mousesavers.com and you can find a phone number to call. They will ship for about $10 or 11.

It’s exclusive to WDW only. You won’t hear squat from Pal Mickey regarding Disneyland. Unfortunately, Pal Mickey is largely dead now as much of his sensors are removed across the parks due to the constant changes occurring.

Do you really think that the person who asked this question 20 years ago (1) didn't read the original answers and (2) is still around to read yours? Their most recent posting was 6.5 years ago.
