Just a quick FYI -
After going back and forth...and back...and forth, we went ahead and booked our trip for April 8th - 11th...ON APRIL 7TH!! Disney was great at setting me all up for our last minute reservation and scheduling Magical Express. We ended up booking a package with dining and the minimum ticket purchase is for two days so we ended up in the parks twice.
We had an absolute blast! My husband couldn't go so it ended up just being my 3 year old and myself. I broke every rule I have for
Disney vacations: no giant luggage packed with everything known to man, no prebooked ADRs, no rope dropping and no scouting out fastpasses. We still took mid-day breaks but it was to swim instead of napping. Both days DS would pass out AS SOON as we got to the park but that just meant that I got to actually watch the performers on Main Street instead of running by them to get to a FP+ or ADR. We got to see, and do, everything that we wanted and so much more!! My son doesn't care much for parades or the castle shows so we took advantage of the low wait times as well as closed down the parks both nights. I have to say, the after 10 pm crowds may be even better than the before 11 am crowds!!
On the bus home I asked DS, "What was your favorite part?" and he said "All my parts, mommy." Heart = melted.
My favorite part was accidently ending up on Astro Orbiter during Wishes. Breathtaking....and maybe a little tear inducing but that was just from the wind, right?
Side note - April weather is perfect. Like seriously
perfect. It was warm enough to swim (I said SWIM...not get out...
that part was freezing) yet cool enough to not get all sweaty and gross. It was crazy seeing people donning jackets instead of misting fans.
In conclusion, yes. This short little trip was totally perfect for satisfying my obsession...for now.
