poll coming...and not run for a second term when the "Stimulus" package fails:confused3

Did he say that....I missed it. And my answer is no.

The chances are "NONE." He's already failed to keep his word on a number of issues, so of course he'll do whatever is best for HIM in 2012, not what's best for the country.

Keeping his "word" doesn't seem to be much of a priority.

He has not kept his word yet, why should he start now?:confused3

Come on people. Get a hobby or something. :confused3

Otherwise you're going to have a long eight years! ;)

Well, no. We're going to b & m as long as he's in office just as y'all did for the last 8 years.

Mind boggling isn't it-I would have thought he would have fullfilled all his campaign promises in his first 27 days  Oh wait, I forgot you conservatives call him the Messiah  My bad, yeah, he should have fullfilled those promises in his first week.

Where does it state President Obama will not run for re-election in 2012? Hmm, nowhere :rolleyes1 He says if it fails, the people will not re-elect him.

Well Happy Monday morning DISers. What's cooking today? Or should I say stirring :stir: ?

Yup!! But I really only think it's going to be 4... that's about all we'll be able to stand!!! :rotfl2:

I don't think any politician keeps their word so my answer is no.

Of course not. He has already broken several campaign promises and he hasn't been there a month. Where is the transparency in new laws/bills that was promised? Where is the "emergency" with regard to this latest disaster of a stimulus bill if it can wait until Tuesday to sign? Where is the promise of "fiscal responsibility?" What happened to the lobbyist pledge? I could go on and on, but thats a start.

We got a snake oil salesman.

Just wait until he unveils his next "stimulas package". Then maybe we will hear the people who voted for him say they are sorry - yeah who am i kidding....

As previously noted, Obama didn't say anything about not running if the Porkulus package doesn't work. In fact, after a couple weeks of pre-passage hyperbole and "Pass this or else we're possibly doomed..." rhetoric, it appears that Obama is now back-pedalling and trying to manage people's expectations: "White House dampens stimulus expectations"

So I wonder how long the public is going to buy this shtick given that another possible trillion dollar plus bill (Son of TARP), and other financial spending programs from Tim the Enchanter are reportedly around the corner?!?!? The sad thing is that the banking bill will likely be more critical to our country's financial health than the Progressive-program-spending-masquerading-as-a-short-term-stimulus bill, but Obama may be risking the success of it if people starting questioning the repeated use of the "chicken little" playbook and develop a case of "bailout" fatigue.
