We can't promise that she won't get sick. I've known people who never get motion sick who are miserable on a cruise, and people who'll be miserably sick on a pretty tame simulator ride, but aren't bothered at all on the sea. Unless you know something of her history with motion sickness, there's no way to predict how she'll do. Medication doesn't help everyone, either. It didn't help me on my first and only cruise.
I'd been wearing SeaBands the first couple of days, just in case. On the third day, I thought, "eh, I'm fine, I'm not wearing these stupid things anymore." Bad move. I went off to breakfast, and by the time I got back to my cabin, OMG. Spent the next several hours in bed, afraid to move, trying to talk myself out of barfing. Medication did nothing. In desperation, I put the SeaBands back on, and before too much longer, I was feeling much better. I didn't take them off again until I was on the bus, headed to the airport.
