will my meals today work for Atkins

I had a morning start bar for breakfast 2 grams carbs

I had 2 cups of lettuce with vinagar and oil
and 2 soft tortillas wraps (3 grams each) with low carb peanut butter on each (also 3 grams per serving) Totals 12 grams for the tortilla/peanut butter wraps alone. (they were so good, I had to eat 2)

For dinner I'll have a cheesesteak, that should be 0 carbs.

Maybe tonight I'll have another morning start bar...
I am trying to stick to 20 grams or less, but I'm not sure if I need to count the lettuce.

Usually when I try Atkins, I stick to the old version with basic foods, meat, veggies and cheese. The new low carb stuff on the market taste good, but I'm worried it will slow my weight loss down.

Does anyone know if this new low carb stuff like tortilla wraps will work on Atkins?

Well, everyones body is different and different people can lose weight on different amounts of carbs.

For me, your plan would not work. I need more protein to stay on track and I find I can really only eat carbs with one meal. Also the bars tend to make me stall. But then, I think I am super sensetive. For the induction faze, I would definitely NOT eat either peanut butter or low carb wraps.

But, you need to expirement for yourself and see what works!!
 
You should probably stick to the basics, at least for the first couple of weeks. Most people stall or slow down when using the newer low-carb products such as the candy or tortilla wraps.

Try to increase your protein and fat a bit. AND drink plenty of water.

Thanks for the suggestions. Starting tommorrow, I am going back on the strict Atkins, without the candy and wraps. I noticed that since I have been eating the candy and Bars, I seem to want it all the time.
It's to late today to start strict Atkins, I already had a breakfast bar.

The low carb products, such as wraps, etc. are good after Induction, and when you're well on your way to losing. Even though they say they're only 3 carbs each, the other ingredients in them can make you stall or lose much slower.

I would add more protein in the form of cheese, eggs, or meat. And, if you want peanut butter - then have a little spread on celery instead of wraps! Celery is also good with cream cheese spread on it! ::yes::

Good luck! And, watch the morning start bars - the sugar alcohols can make you stop losing! I try to limit myself to one a week...
