Will Memorial Day weekend be too crowded?

We currently have reservations from 5/28 - 6/2 at POR. I have read several things that made me concerned that the Memorial Day weekend would be very crowded. We may have the option to switch the vacation to 5/31 - 6/5. Would this be a better time to go to miss the crowds? I have also heard that the weekend of the 5th is 'Gay Days' and I didn't know if it would be a more crowded time as well. Any advice would be appreciated.

We went last year right after memorial day and before the "Gay Days weekend. The crowds were light at the beginning of the week and extremely heaby towards the end of the week. The last day we did any of the parks was Thursday - AK and MGM, and both were very crowded when we were there.

The Gay Day weekend is always the first weekend in June. Also, Memorial Day weekend is always crowded...we're leaving the Saturday before Memorial Day so hopefully we'll miss some of those crowds.

If you want to do the parks every day it may be lighter in the middle of the week, but I would plan on heavy crowds the entire week due to the holiday and the gathering the first weekend in June.
