With a lot more airlines charging for checked baggage, I am wondering if tht will include my chair? It is a power chair. I have no problem if they do, as I need it..just want to be prepared to pay if they do charge me for it. Thanks. I will be checking my suitcase as well.

By law they cannot charge you for necessary medical equipment. You will have no problem. They also cannot count it as part of your carry on or checked luggage count.

Seconding Peemagg - they can't charge you for any medical equipment, or count it on your luggage allowance. You will be able to gate check it, which means you can use it right up until you get to the aeroplane door. You can use the aisle chair to get around the plane, just ask the crew for it when you need it. Once you're on, they take your chair and load it under the plane. When you land, let everyone else off first, and your chair should be waiting for you at the plane door.

Hope this helps! :thumbsup2

Follow the link in my signature to the disABILITIES FAQs thread (or look near the top of this board). Post # 15 of that thread is about air travel and includes links to the law, to the TSA website and some other helpful information.
There are also some pictures of aisle chairs in case you have not seen one before.

Thanks, Sue. I know about the aisle chair from my last trip to WDW..but that was 3 years ago, before they started charging for checked baggage. I just was not sure.
This site is being a good help to me. Thank you for that,
