Will itineraries change for our NYE Eastern sailing?

On our Facebook page there are a lot of rumors that our Eastern itinerary will be changed. I’ve heard so many different opinions. Someone said the NYE was going to be the first Eastern to go to original ports of Tortola & St. Thomas. Lately, others have said Tortola would be changed to St. Marteen. And all sorts of speculation. Our cruise books still had our Eastern itinerary listed. We’re less than 30 days out.

Are there any dis people out there that have any information on this? Or insider sources that might know? And when/how would they inform us of an itinerary change?

I don't know but I have an eastern cruise in late February. Just booked port adventures last month and they still had the original ports and lots but not all of the excursions. I would not be sad if we switched to St Maarten though because I want to take my kids to Maho Beach!

I am also on the NYE cruise and have heard nothing.

Why do the speculators think the itinerary will be changed? Have their port excursions been cancelled?

If DCL decides to reroute us they will alert everyone via email as they did for the earlier Eastern cruises.

St. Thomas and Tortola are both ready to take ships; St. Thomas is already taking them. Disney have had reps on each island clearing port adventures. I think you will end up at these islands.

I am curious about this as well. Tortola is open to small ships but they are not opening to larger boats until early 2018. We are on the 1/27 Eastern and I do not know if they will be ready for ships as large as the Fantasy at that time. I called DCL last week and they advised they would send an email with any itenerary changes but they would not give a timeframe.

Big fat yes. Just got the email from DCL. All cruises through March will substitute St Maartin for Tortola.

Le sigh.

Tortola really want the business back, too. I guess not enough of the port area tourist traps are reopened yet.

Bummer. That email was the worst one I got all day! I will choose to chin up & figure out what to be excited about St Maarten for.

I mean, I'm looking at some of the attractions there like Loterie Farm, the Nature Preserve, etc., and I don't know what makes St. Maarten so much more ready for a ship than Tortola.
