Long-time DVC owner here ... We purchased 275 BWV points on re-sale way back in the early 2000's. We also purchased 125 GCV points direct from DVC a few years later (best decision we ever made on that one!).
We're thinking about selling our BWV points and then purchasing some points on the resale market at a resort with a lease expiration that is much further out than the 2042 Boardwalk date. I understand the Riviera resale exclusions and the "grandfathered" original 14 resort trade limitations associated with going back into the resale market. My question is this: Will we also lose out on Membership Extras, or will our grandfathered 125 point GCV ownership work to maintain that aspect of our membership? Alternatively, would a direct-Disney add-on purchase of 25 points (either at CGV -- which is very difficult to even find, or at our newly-purchased resort) be necessary to keep those benefits? (Can we even purchase 25 point contracts from Disney these days?)
