Sorry if this question gets asked alot, but I have two reservations...

the 1st one is a room only for one night, then on day two my package kicks in (with my room, tickets and dining).

I am confused as to the check-out, check-back in process. I am not changing resorts (POR), but I do realize I could be required to switch rooms and that there probably will be some additional paperwork.

Could someone please explain how this works??? :confused3

Thanks in advance for anyhelp! :goodvibes

Either call CRO or your TA and make sure that you note on both ressies that you have a continuing reservation. Also mention that to the CM that checks you in for your one-night stay. There is a possibility that you will have to change rooms, but Disney will do their best to keep you in the same room. You will have to go to the Guest Services desk and check out and check back in though.

Sounds like we'll be there at the exact same time! Our party of 11 also has a split reservation at POR. We are checking in on the 25th for a room-only night, and then our package begins on the 26th for free dining. We're all really hoping that we don't have to switch rooms that day! I will be calling CRO later this morning to make the notations about the "continuing reservation" on both the room only and the package reservations.

As kandmwedding posted, have continuing reservation noted and tell the CM at check in.

We have done this twice at POR with no problems and did not have to change rooms either time.

The first time we did this, I went to the front desk before breakfast and checked us in again and got the new room keys and such. The next time, the front desk called the night before the first check out and left a detailed message about how to obtain new room keys the next day for our continuing reservation.

I have had a split reservations on two trips. I have not had to switch rooms. I think they try to avoid that situation. You will just have to go recheck in as PP mentioned.

I'm hoping this happens for us too...our last night was added about 2 months ago when we decided to extend our stay.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you...and me!

Cheers,
Josh
