Yikes! Just looked back at some of those pics, and they apparently are not sized correctly in photobucket, so sorry if you are scrolling down and looking and all of a sudden all you can see is an eyeball! Oops! Oh well. Should post some about THIS trip's plans tonight. Hopefully....

Sara

Love all the pics of your past trips. The kids are all so cute. Michael was an adorable baby! Can't wait to read about your plans popcorn:: .

Thanks Nichole! :goodvibes I'm working on one of my many to-do lists right now. Should have some things checked off soon, I hope!

Everyone...I just realized that I haven't even put my dates in the report (at least I don't think I have...)...anywho...

We are leaving the night of October 8th, in the parks from October 9 - 13th, and we leave the morning of the 14th! I will update my first post with that, so in case anyone was wondering....:lmao:

Sara

Love all the pictures Sara! I'm still amazed that you pulled off a trip during Thanksgiving week with 16!!! :worship: :worship:

How's that list coming?? :rolleyes1

Can't wait to hear more! So glad your honey surprised you. I'm glad to hear you say you prefer offsite....someday I may have to try it. I would love the info on Windsor Hills.

I just booked a last minute trip for me and twin 9 yo dd's and my mom. The girls no nothing about it, and hopefully they won't until we arrive at the airport....I think they are going to flip. :rotfl: My mother has never been to Disney World before. It's been a rough summer for us, my 45 yo brother passed away, and we are all missing him desperately! DH can't go because of work:sad1: Can't wait to hear more!

Take care,
Jeanette
 Hi Jeanette! I recognize your screenname from Chat! So sorry for your loss- I hope this trip brings just the magic you need.

We have an ADR at Sci-Fi that day too but it's at 4:00. I am going to try for the first F! as we have an early morning the next day at Magic Kingdom. This park is really giving me trouble trying to figure out how to see some of the shows - I can't believe they didn't consult me when planning out the show schedule for this day! The nerve of Disney! :lmao: Is your plan to see the first one and then hightail it over to Sci-fi? Or eat and then hightail it over to the second F? You could always check in early at lunch (say 11:00) and see if they have an opening and then just eat CS for dinner. Sci-Fi is so fun! It's just so "Disney" to me! :goodvibes

Sara

You know what, Sara? I'm so dumb- I was reading your response again, thinking about checking in early to see if they had openings- and I realized I'd misquoted myself! My ADR is for 50's PrimeTime- not Sci Fi!

Great- I can see myself showing up at the wrong resturaunt..... :sad2:

GREAT PIX! You really captured some adorable moments with the kiddos.

Thanks Michelle! Yes, I'm sometimes a little surprised when I think back on it as well. It was a doozie and I think it has forever changed me as a planner! I don't know if that's good or bad, but :confused3

Um, yeah...THE list :rolleyes1 (Ha - singular! That's hysterical! :lmao: )

Well, I do have just ONE list of all my lists!

I have a list for:

* Things to finish at work before trip
* Things to clean at the house before trip
* Things to buy before the trip
* Things to pack for the trip
* Grocery list (no, still haven't sent it to Garden Grocer)
* List of shirts to make
* List of little things to not forget to pack

It's a little ridiculous! But I'm in good company, right? RIGHT???? :scared: (someone say yes here, please?) :rolleyes1

:rotfl2: That's funny! Well, at least you don't have as far to run to after Fantasmic. Isn't 50's closer to that side of the park? I think Sci-Fi is further away. F! is at 7:30 and runs about 1/2 an hour, so you might be a little late, but I'm sure it won't be a problem. You could always send hubby ahead as you are leaving F! to check you guys in. :confused3

You are certainly in good company Sara! I have the following lists going:

Things to buy before Disney
Things to do for Disney
Things to do for work
Things to do at home
Paking List
Pet sitter list

Crazy! But I keep the lists on my desk and when I think of something during the day I can add it. Otherwise my mind would never be able to concentrate on the work I'm supposed to be doing! :)

Ha - WORK! I really wish I could just take the week off work to get ready for my 5 days at Disney! I need it! Don't think that will fly, do you?

Don't have the pet sitter list this time....:sad1:

I'm a list girl too - I currently have 27 running in my mail drafts on my mac. And that is recently whittled down from 50!
If I didn't have lists, life would shut down around here. I have a list of things I needed to get the kids for the trip now that they are outgrowing their summer stuff and I asked DH what he would do if clothes for everyone didn't magically appear in drawers. He just grinned sheepishly and hugged me. It's nice to be needed anyway! :lovestruc

Exactly! I  lists! They make me feel organized, even though I am not! :rolleyes1

It feels good to cross something off of a list, even if it's something like:
Get up
Take Shower
Get Dressed

:woohoo: :woohoo:

(yes, I've been known to make lists with those three things on them when planning out a "day" - you can all laugh now! Ok, maybe not...don't laugh...:guilty: )

Sara

I'm gonna jump ahead a little, just so I can tell you guys about this.

THe 11th is my youngest daughter's birthday. She will be 4. I called on Friday about getting a custom cake for her birthday dinner at 1900 PF. I have been subscribed to the cake thread on here since last year and have paid close attention to the kinds of cakes people have had at the different locations, and just recently someone posted about a cake with a white chocolate Minnie mouse on top of a cake with pink frosting and girly touches, etc, etc for her daughter's birthday. The picture was really cute. :goodvibes

The lady I spoke with on Friday seemed clueless and told me that the white chocolate minnie mouse was too heavy to go on top of the cakes, and she kept coming back to the "you can have a screen image of Minnie put on the cake, yada, yada, yada" even though the one request I had was for it not to be a screen image - I wanted the white chocolate minnie mouse sitting on top of the cake. :headache: She just wasn't very helpful, so I tactfully said, "let me think about some of the things you have told me and I will get back with you!" Ha! Knowing full well, I was just going to call back and talk to someone different!

So today I did just that. The lady I spoke with sounded a bit more informed and never mentioned anything about the white chocolate minnie mouse being too heavy - she just told me the cost would be extra, blah blah blah...Yeah, I know lady!

So this is what I ordered...a 8" chocolate cake with chocolate frosting (I asked about pink but she said they could only do it in vanilla or chocolate :confused3 ) with pink flowers and girly touches with a white chocolate minnie mouse on top and a scroll next to the cake saying Happy Birthday Katie!

Guess we'll see when we get there what it ends up looking like! Here's hoping! (where is that fingers crossed smilie - we need one of those).

My good friend once told me before I had kids that some days you would count the day a success if you were showered with your teeth brushed by the end of the day with a newborn. How merrily I laughed at the time. Oh what a fool I was! :lmao:

I have to do that specialty order for my niece - do you have a link to the cake page you are talking about? And when I call, should I say I do not want to talk to the uninformed cake woman?
;)

I've been known to make a list like that too Sara - surprised?

I'm so glad you got the cake you wanted (almost). Can't wait to see a picture of it! princess:

So true! :rotfl2: I can remember those days....heck, sometimes I still have them! :rotfl:

Here is the newer thread (it's still really long though). The old thread is linked on the first post I believe. According to the people in the know, the GF restaurants have the best cakes, but I have no clue. It just worked out that we were eating there for her birthday. I love  the Mickey Head cake though. If we had been able to get Chef Mickey's for her bday dinner, I would have totally done that - as she LOVES MICKEY! (I hope she isn't disappointed with a princess dinner...:rolleyes1 I know! I know! She will be at Disney! She will be happy no matter what, right? Of course she IS a 4 year old, so she could be happy at the time and then when we get home be like "where's my Mickey party?" :confused3 Oh boy!

That cake sounds great, make sure and take pics of it. I have seen the white chocolate Mickey's Minnie's and Tink's on cakes before. So kind of strange that they frist CM told you it was too heavy. Good for you calling back. For Kaylee's Bday I ordered Hannah Montana in chocolate but they arrived at the table with High School Musical :confused3 . Luckily she liked it just fine but still not what I ordered.

Oh yeah...I remember that Nichole! The cake still turned out great! I certainly won't be telling any of the kids about the cake, because who knows what I may end up with...ordered Minnie mouse, maybe I'll get Buzz Lightyear....:confused3 :rotfl: I hope not, but you just never know. Sometimes the different people are inconsistent with their answers. :headache: She seemed fairly certain as to what I was saying, so hopefully it will work out, but like I said...I will be calling back a few days before to make sure of what is written down about this cake!

Sara

Hey ladies,

Do any of you have any MNSSHP t-shirts? I am hoping to have them for me and my Mom since we aren't dressing up. Does anyone remember the graphic thread?:confused3 Thanks a bunch!

:lmao: We are all so much alike. I have so many lists I have lists of where I am keeping my lists. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Everything seems to be coming together! Yummy cake!
