Will I be disappointed with the Swan?

My 72 year old mother and I are going on the June 22nd 7 day Western Cruise on the Disney Magic. We are going to stay at the Swan from June 29th through July 5th because of the $99 rate offered after the cruise. We have stayed at the Beach Club and the Boardwalk Inn several times. Will we be disappointed with the Swan? I chose the Swan because it seemed to be smaller which hopefully will mean less distance for my mother to walk to the transportation (boats, busses).

Thanks for your opinions in advance!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

We stayed at the Swan in Dec. and it was just fine. We faced the east side of the hotel with a balcony. We were very happy. I have not stayed at the BC but have stayed at the BWV and we liked the Swan just fine. It is smaller and much easier to get around.

You will NOT be dissapointed with the Swan. It is a good choice if you wanted the smaller resort. The Dolphin would be too spread out for you. The hotel is wonderful as is the staff. You'll have a magical stay. I can not recommend these two hotels enough. Can't wait till Aug. when I can return. Have you read the FAQ of the Swan and Dolphin? If not you should check it out. Great information there. Enjoy your stay!

Dana :)

Just bumping this post up in case anyone else has opinions about the pros and cons of the Swan vs the Boardwalk Inn.

I believe in Disney magic :earsgirl:and in Bowling Green State University hockey! :)

Yes, we have stayed at both the Swan and the BWI. The Swan has nice large rooms and queen beds. It's a lot quieter than any of the other Disney hotels we've been to. Keep in mind that this is not Disney owned so you may have to ask for more info from them. We never received a transportion guide or maps or room layout/newsletter or anything like that at check in. I felt a little deprived of the Disney atmosphere esp with kids but if it is just you and your mother it will probably be fine.
It is definitely the smaller of the two. The boats are between the two resorts and buses are out in front. It's an easy walk to the BW but a little longer to YC/BC, I think. It is a very nice hotel with wonderful views! Enjoy!!
