Just wanted to say great job! Kasey Kahne's number to boot (Smoke's number would had been even cooler). If y'all add new smilies---think NASCAR. ;)

I hope to do the ride-along someday (I don't drive stick). I used to love going to Talladega and going on the van tour at over 65mph+ (this may have changed since 1997).

Too bad he didn't get Michael Waltrip's number. Betcha it would have been fun to have a great run going then spin out on the last lap. Again. And Again. And again....

P.S. Someone get this thing on Itunes.

I agree, even though I was like the guys, half the time all I hear was Charlie Brown's teacher wha, wha, wha, wha, wha, wha :rotfl2:

But, one thing I didn't hear - is there an upper age limit? I think my dad would enjoy the ride along but not sure if it's to intense for him.

The podcast page is not updated so where is everyone getting todays podcast? Is someone slacking? ;)

(DOH! Found it via the player.)

Great job, Will! Sorry the rest of the crew just doesn't understand the "language" that comes so easily for those of us from Indy!

DH did this a few years ago and he's STILL talking about it.

Just wanted to mention that RPDE has specials on the Ride-Alongs quite frequently and someone just about always posts it on the Budget board -- so check it from time to time if you are interested in the experience.

I agree, GREAT segment! :thumbsup2 Will did a great job explaining everything and you could hear the excitement in his voice. I didn't always know what Will was talking about (cars, racing = foreign language to me) but I really enjoyed hearing about it. Pete, John, Kevin, too clueless and TOO funny! :rotfl2:

Really enjoyed the segment Will. Great job! I'm looking forward to the photos and video content when it is posted.

I agree - great segment Will! Does this move you permanently out of the peanut gallery and up to the "big kids table"? I hope so!

By the way - we want to see a picture of the old-tire-coffee-table, especially if you have any banana-box furniture to go with it!

A great segment Will :goodvibes You guys cracked me up today

..... but your report gave me some great ideas for presents for those NASCAR fans in my family. (Everybody's getting tires for Christmas - wooohoooo!!:drive:

Loved the segment, Will!!! :thumbsup2

And just for the record, my BIL has used NASCAR tires as souvenirs from races he has been to. From what I understand, NASCAR fans consider them a highly prized souvenir. My BIL has to hang his in the garage - my sister didn't think they would match the decor - but I am sure he would love to have them as a coffee table.

Be sure to post pictures when your creation is finished so I can show my BIL. He will be jealous. :worship:

God I hope my father never hears about a tire coffee table. He is obsessed with old tires, he wouldn't let us 'dispose' of them. When we were younger he was always keeping the old ones when we had to have new ones put on the cars.

Thanks everyone for the support and nice comments. I hope I helped answer some questions and inspired some to check it out or share with someone who would enjoy. I will definitely post some pics of the awesome table I'm going to create once finished!!

blog entry is also up! Thanks again everyone!:cool1:

I will try and get the photo gallery up as soon as possible......and spoke with Petty today, my video should be here sooner than expected! Can't wait!

Thanks Will for the segment, it was great.:thumbsup2 I have been wanting to do this for a while now. I was not sure if it was worth the money. Glad to here that you thought that it was. Thanks again for all the info.

Great job Will! Loved the description of the whole ride. I've got to check out your blog.

We're so proud!!!!

Awesome segment. I'd put it up there along with CorEy and Julie's skycoaster ride. It was cool, it was funny, and Pete gets the showstopper line of the week with the "9th circle of gay hell" comment. :rotfl2:

I'm not even a Nascar fan, and I sat in the car waiting for the segment to finish. Then John's segment came on after that... I need a new car battery! My stomach muscles got a real workout from all the laughter. :yay:
