We just did this a few days ago and I told the staff at AK Kidani checkin about the split stay between there and VGF. I let them know we were going to be checking out of AK and going straight to Magic Kingdom the next morning, but needing the transfer of my luggage to VGF and it was seamless, without any problems. They checked me in at VGF in advance and while I was at Magic Kingdom, they texted me my suite number and let me know when our suite was ready. When we arrived at VGF from MK, I just let them know and they sent a bellman with our luggage to our room. I hope this helps!
