Will Disney Lower Ticket Prices?

No, because they usually only run deals like that when they want to boost park attendence for that period. Summertime the parks are almost filled to capacity so there's not really a need for them to offer incentives like ticket upgrades. Just my opinion though . . .

I disagree with this response. I have been offered the hopper and waterpark option for free in both May and June visits as well as room discounts. In 2005, I paid only $79 a night at POFQ during the 1st full week of June - this was during the gay days when the parks were pretty full and there were no more rooms available. I was already booked when I recieved the discount via email.

However, I think that PrincessTiffany's opinion does make a lot of sense.

I don't think Disney has felt the economic crunch that many are beginning to feel. Look at the MNSSHP/MVMCP tix price, they aren't going to charge a price that they don't feel they can get. Disney obviously feels like they can get this price. At the moment we hold AP's thru next April, we will maximize these passes. We have trips scheduled in July, & Sept, we will go to a party instead of parties. Dec. we will only attend 1 party vs our normal 2. After April if the economy and gas prices have not improved we will be forced to cut back and Disney will be the first to get the cut.

Though there are some cancelling their trips to WDW I think most, judging from another post here, are still planning on continuing as planned and going on their trips. I don't forsee Disney lowering their prices I do however forsee the usual increase.

Lower prices......Disney????:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:
They just raised their stroller prices to $31...if that isnt fleecing the guests then I dont know what is. IF they are raising prices for something as basic and necessary as STROLLERS, do you really think they'll lower prices for admission?

I don't think that Disney will lower ticket prices because the still have plenty of people willing to pay those prices. I think they are more likely to offer better package deals to try to get folks to stay onsite than they would to offer lower ticket prices.

NO- as long as people are coming and paying the current prices and the WDW resorts are packed you can count on the prices going UP instead!

In the UK at the moment they are offering 14 day tickets for the price of 7
and 7 day tickets for the price of 5.

Not bad deals at all!
I think we'll see more offers but not price cuts

i think that Disney is never going to lower ticket prices. the way the tickets are priced, highest price per day for short stays and the lower price for longer stays, is exactly what they want. so i dont see any change in this policy ever. you stay longer you spend more

what i see happening is that the special hard ticket events like MMVCP and events similar will be what many families cut out because of extra high fuel prices. so these parties may be reduced in price, like a steep AP,DVC discount and if that doesnt work phasing it out all together.

now that $12 price for the old E-Ride nights sounds good doesnt it.

:offtopic: i know sorry bout that;)

Also, WDW attracts a lot of visitors from outside the US whose economy is in better shape than ours.

Can you name these countries, i'm living in Ireland and our economy is on its backside. But at least the euro is good value against the dollar. €1 = $1.54

Shhhhh....you aren't supposed to tell Americans that your country is feeling the economic pinch too.....because a certain groups would like for us(Americans) all to believe that we are the only country floundering while everyone else is enjoying free health care, living the good life , raking in loads of cash.

The UK's getting rising costs now too though we do have the 2 Ultimate ticket packages Disney offer to us.

I dont think Disney will cut costs now. But if a Resession happens in the US and the UK then ticket prices will fall again methinks. As thats 2 of their major areas cut out.

I, personally, don't have a problem with paying Disney's ticket prices and all other expenses as long as they continue to give the same high quality service as they have in the past in all their venues.

If anything they will crank the prices then discount them so you get a "deal". I'm waiting for ME to start charging with the gas prices so high.

I'm from Britain and this is the third year that I will be going to Disney. The ticket prices have increased by £10 each year since then. At that rate in about 10 years the tickets will have doubled in price.
