Will delta refund my money

We were booked on a delta flight back in April and then they cancelled the flight and put us on a much later flight.Well now 30 days before we leave we noticed that there flights have been delayed by several hours.(happened 3 times this wk)We are the last flight out in the evening so if we don't make the connecting flight,we are stuck in Atlanta over night with 2 small kids.So we would just like our money back and fly out with another airline with an earlier flight.I'm going to call shortly and ask I just have to check the other flight with DH before I cancel,So I thought I would ask here and see if anyone eles has got refunded

The flight change is enough to entitle you to a refund.

I agree the changing of the flight times "should" entitle you to a refund, BUT, when did the flight change come about? Was it months ago and you accepted the changes? It will be hard to call and say you noticed some flights being cancelled and you are the last flight out of Atlanta and now you want a refund. I hope things work out for you.... the thought of being stuck in any airport due to missing a connection isn't a fun thought....

That's the problem. If the OP has spoken to Delta and "accepted" the intial change then I don't know if they will give her a refund. (And calling to get new seat assignments probably counts)

If the OP has not spoken with Delta before then don't mention the "cancelled" flights, that's not the problem they can deal with. Tell them that the significant schedule change does not work for your schedule.

(Probably the cancellations/delays were due to thunderstorms. We have had some wild ones here lately. Big risk with Atlanta summer afternoons/evenings.)

I just talked to them and they said NO because,Delta's policy is they will refund you only if your flight has changed longer than 90 minutes.Ours was just short of 90 min.She said to keep an eye on the flight and if the flight changed than they would refund our money.The main reason why we wanted to change airlines was do to them being delayed alot latelty and not wanting to get delayed and being stuck at the airport over night.My Dh is going to talk to his boss and see if we can leave earlier that day.Delta said they can put us on an earlier flight that day if we wanted.

I asked why the flights were so delayed lately and they said it was "machanical" issue.I don't know if it is the same plane or not
